We really liked the location and the environment. It really makes you feel you’re up in the mountains. The bed size was really nice as well. The hotel is easy to find and you have plenty of activities to do in Arroyo Frío which is 10 mins drive from there.

It does not feel you’re in a 4 stars hotel to be honest. The bathroom has some issues that need to be fixed. The furniture in the room does not make any sense. It needs an update and the floor is very cold. We could disconnect the air conditioner so we had to sleep with the noise the whole night. Breakfast should also include a bit more options for the price of the stay.

The location is fabulous, within easy access to beautiful hikes in the Cazorla mountain park. The dinner bed and breakfast (half-board) option was great, with delicious dinners. The hotel is quiet, rustic, set in a scenic landscape, and best of all it is very dog-friendly so we were able to bring our fur-child.

The rooms are fairly basic, but at the price they're good. Some people might not enjoy the hunter's theme in the dining areas, with many horns and stuffed heads adorning the walls.

If you want to get away close to nature then this is a good spot. It has a Hunting lodge style with a good restaurant and bar beside a large veranda where you can watch the scenery, have a glass of wine and listen to nature. Rooms are rustic and comfortable. We had a small balcony to let us sit and watch over the valley. Staff are all very nice and cheerful. We had a half board package at a very reasonable price. The menu selection was good as was the food. Portions were very generous. There's a pack of tame geese to provide some entertainment and amusement when they go on parade around the artificial lake. You can travel to local nature spots but we just went on the local walk along the bank of the Guadalquivir. We saw some deer, jays, nutthatch, crossbills and terrapins. We could hear green woodpeckers calling but didn't get a glimpse. We only stayed two nights but there seems to be plenty to see for a longer trip. The views on the drive from Cordoba were pretty spectacular. It's a typical mountain drive with a good surface but a winding road with a long climb. The parking there is fine. We didn't use the pool but it looked good. The drive North along the river towards Murcia is pleasant also. So a very enjoyable stopover.

Some reviews mention the hunting trophies and there are a lot of them. They didn't bother us as we understand this is a rural environment. But what would be good is to show some pictures of and provide a guide to what animals and birds you can expect to find in the local area.

Unfortunately there was a lot of hills to climb ie from the car park and the swimming pool this is not the hotels fault, but our health problems and age but we managed and enjoyed every minute . I just wished we were younger.It was 😍.

Warm rooms, good facilities, excellent breakfast! Good location if you have a car. Good menu at the restaurant. Peaceful.

Would have been nice to have a kettle in the room. More comfortable seats in the room would be good!

Everything was absolutely incredible! We couldn't have asked for a better place for our honeymoon. It really exceeded all of our expectations. The food was outstanding, the staff were very helpful and polite and the setting was breath taking.

There is nothing we could complain about at all, we received 5 star service from the moment we arrived up to the point when we left. It was so lovely that we increased our stay.

We had a beautiful room and the staff was very friendly! And just for information - they have a bunch of free geese running around. We didn't mind at all, but I can imagine some people do and then would it be good to know, I guess. There is a big pool and you can go hiking or take walk in the stunning environment.

I didn't quite read it clearly, that it's forbidden to swim in the lake. On the homepage it says you can go fishing or canoe, but there should be a note that it is really forbidden to swim in the lake. And unfortunately, we weren't really pleased with the food they served. I can imagine that it is rather difficult to get fresh food up in the mountains, but it was the preparation, too. Maybe it's just the way they cook in this area, but we were disappointed, as we were used to the great Andalusian cuisine. I expected more from a hotel with 4 stars.

Pet is allowed free of charge. There is a walking trail from the hotel premises. All the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

Whether it is a half board or full board, drinks should be included in the lunch and dinner.

The location was incredible - great walks from the hotel and beautiful views.

The food was ok…lots of amazing places to eat nearby though.
