Lovely room, well set out and just right for our stopover. Breakfast room was well set out with a very good selection of food. Excellent value stay, have now used Hotel Florence four times, superb location for a stopover on the way south or on the return to Calais. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the was a problem with our original room and we were speedily found another, excellent service. Centrally located in St. Quentin, just a short walk to the main square where there are several restaurants, we prefer Le Petite Chef.

Car park rather small, need to be their early! Nothing else.

Excellent room, comfortable bed, quiet and very well located for supper in the centre of town. Staff were very friendly and gave us an upgrade for free given they had spare rooms! St Quentin is the ideal spot for an overnight en-route to Calais from the Alps for an early'ish boat/train back to the UK the following morning... and this has just become our new go-to hotel! (Small tip if you want somewhere to eat, too - try the 'Petit Chef' on the main square - fantastic steak frites!)

TV was pretty old and couldn't plug it in to my laptop to play back a film... but that is a very minor quibble!

I stayed in room 7 .. room was spotless BUT was awake all night with some machinery noise.. possibly a generator? It never stopped and having a long drive the next day had us feeling wrecked. Hotel apologised having visited the room and heard it for themselves.. and refunded me 20 euros or offered us a free breakfast .. (same value ) that said .. I would stay again as staff were trying to make amends and were lovely. Cleanliness great location great so yes excellent value for money

The hotel is clean and comfortable and welcomes dogs both in the room and in the bar and breakfast room. Whenever we stay here we have always had a long day's drive behind us and have a long day ahead of us, so it is good to be able to get a drink jn the bar on arrival and a good breakfast before leaving (breakfast starts at 4am)! The onsite parking is also a bonus, once you have found it. The car park is round the corner from the front of the hotel, but you cannot turn left onto that road-you need to drive to the next left turn and come round in a loop -there is a signpost once you reach that point).The hotel has the option of buying meals in jars and heating them up in the microwave but we have always walked to the nearby square (about 5 mins) and eaten in one of the restaurants there. There is also a small Italian restaurant next door but it hasn't always been open and we don't know if they accept dogs. As is obvious from the price, this is not an opulent luxury hotel, but it is exceptional value for money. It is ideal for an overnight stop, but I would also happily stay there longer.

There is nothing we don't like.

We requested a ground floor accessible room, since one of us is recovering from a hip replacement operation, and were very pleased to find it equipped with two large beds and a very good clean bathroom / wet room which met our needs pretty well. The hotel is reasonably priced and well situated in the centre of St Quentin, with its own parking (we probably got the last space), and the room was quiet.

Could do with one or two more hooks for towels in the bathroom, which was cold (the heater didn't come on). Couldn't open up the wi-fi.

Right in the heart of the old city and a stone's throw from the cathedral the location could not be better. Parking is easy as they have their own carpark and the room we had was perfect, it had a separate seating area and a fully equipped kitchen as well as a very comfortable bed - what more could one ask? Breakfast was fine, not only was there a wide selection of cold meats, cheeses and fruits and very fresh bread and pastries, but also scrambled eggs and bacon, for those Brit’s pining for a semi full English ( I gave them a miss!) What's more, the price was such as to make it excellent value for money.

Not a single thing.

The location was excellent, both within the city itself and within the region. We spent 5 nights doing day trips exploring the WWI sights in the Somme Area and in Belgium. All ready day trips from St Quentin. The city square and cathedral were easy walks from the hotel. The room is not spacious, but I was not expecting that from this type of city hotel. The bed was great!

If we got in late, the parking was limited

The rooms are clean and very good value. There is no problem with our dog being in the room and also coming down to breakfast with us. We could park in their carpark (you have to go round the block to get to it- drive past the hotel on your left, then turn left, the left again where there is a sign, the car park is through a gate in some railings). There is a bar where you can get a drink, though food in the evening is limited to buying jars of ready meals to be heated or a croque monsieur or salad. However it is an easy walk to the square where there is a choice of restaurants. Breakfast is great.

Nothing. It is a good value, simple hotel. Nothing fancy but our first choice for a stop off when travelling south.

Excellent one night stay at this lovely hotel. It is historic as it was the Old Post Office. Staff very friendly. We stayed bed plus breakfast in a suite with a kitchenette, it had modern decor and was exceptionally clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was great, with eggs and bacon as well as a buffet with breads, pastries, meats, cheeses, fruits, cereals and yogurts. The location is perfect as it is just a short walk to shops and several restaurants and bars. Parking available. Would most definitely stay here again.

We have stayed here several times and their service is always faultless. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially if you arrive late. It’s a perfect stopover close to Calais when we travel to or from the UK. Breakfast is always very good. There is free onsite parking, though this is limited and sometimes fellow guests are less than considerate in how they park

See above note on inconsiderate fellow guest parking. It can sometimes be easy to be blocked into the car park by poor parking by other guests. Otherwise this hotel is always great
