Now for the good stuff. Despite my complaints, this is a fantastic hotel. The location? Perfect. Smack dab in the heart of Liepaja, making it super convenient. The cleanliness? Spotless.. And the overall standard? It’s excellent—well-maintained, comfortable, and reliable. That’s why, despite my grumbling, I keep coming back and will continue to come back. See you again soon, Promenade—but next time, let’s make it actually premium!

Let’s start with the bad news (or rather, the rant): Promenade Hotel, you’ve left me confused. I booked a premium room expecting the upgrade I deserved—luxury, maybe even a room that whispers "you’re special" when you walk in 😃. Instead, I got what felt like a rerun of my last stay in a superior room, minus a bathtub. Now, don’t get me wrong, the superior room was fine the first time, but when I’m paying extra for premium, I expect a little sparkle. Photos promised me better, but reality gave me déjà vu. And then there’s breakfast. For a hotel of this caliber, it’s more “meh” than magnificent. It’s not that I’m expecting a 5-starred omelet station, but come on—if you’re rocking five stars, your breakfast should at least aim for four :) ..

Perfect location beside the canal and a short walk to the centre of town. Parking is easy to access, free and plentiful. The hotel decor is contemporary and very tasteful. The desk in the room was excellent for laptop work and easy access to power. So nice to have a lift so dragging suitcases (or wheelchairs) is very easy. We had a great view over the canal. The hotel has a lovely outside terrace shaded by the hotel so it is cool on a warm afternoon for afternoon cool drinks and food.

We found the 5 star hotel breakfast was well short of our expectations and the restaurant for dinner was overpriced and the food sub standard compered with restaurants in the town. The WiFi and the TV would regularly (every 15 minutes or so) shut down and require turning back on. It was reported to reception but nothing was done to rectify the issue. Regularly we would return to our room and find that the door was not locked. It has electronic keys which seemed to randomly not lock when we left the room. The blackout curtains in our room didn't work and need to be replaced with effective curtains. As it was mid summer there was a party boat opposite that left their music on full volume all night so our room was a bit noisy.

A Perfect Place to Stay in Liepāja! Promenade Hotel is more than just a place to sleep — it’s a work of art in itself. The rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable, making it easy to relax and unwind. The service is absolutely divine: every staff member is warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. Adding to the experience is the beautiful restaurant Piano on the ground floor — a true culinary delight with exquisite dishes and drinks. And don’t miss the art! The hotel is filled with gorgeous paintings that make you feel like you’re staying in a gallery. A real gem in Liepāja — I’d come back in a heartbeat!

Everything was great: the hotel decor, including the art gallery, the room, the breakfast, the service during breakfast. Everything, except for the reception staff.

There was no separate trash can in the toilet. And the reception staff was very surprising. The girl was extremely passive, could not answer our questions about the city and the restaurant. In addition, I wrote to the hotel that we were coming on my birthday, but, strangely enough, there was no sign of attention from the hotel staff. I am not very fond of chocolate, but as a sign of attention even it would have been nice.)

The hotel has great reviews on Booking.com, but it still managed to exceed expectations. Built in a former salt warehouse, the hotel is an incredibly stunning experience full of history and beautiful details. The interior design was tastefully done, staying true to the old style. The service at the reception was exceptionally friendly. Our room was very comfortable and breakfast up to the same standard as everything else. Definitely one of the best hotel experiences ever. We will absolutely be coming back!

Wow 🤩 I loved everything about this hotel. The staff were the best their service was exceptional and they were always available to help. The room was luxurious and had excellent black out curtains ensuring a good night’s sleep. The buffet breakfast was first class as were the meals in the Piano restaurant. Besides bringing on the canal, opposite the entertainment center and Post Office it has buses, trams, boats, and tourist train just outside. All the best cafes, shops restaurants and the beach are just a short walk away. I wish to highly recommend the Promenade Hotel Liepaja.

Comming back here many times and this hotel always delivers a wonderful experience. The interior and design is very nice, the personell is always well trained and professional, the rooms are stylish, bathrooms are well equipped, everything is clean and a joy to experience. The restaurant was good for dinner and the breakfast was very rich and delicious. We will keep coming back to this place many more times.

We will be coming back, because this is truly a magnificent hotel. My only remark is about some interior details in the rooms - it feels that some of the details have been used over a period of time and it starts to show. Maybe a minor refreshing of the room interior could be in done.

The furniture was stylish, the view was outstanding, and the location was perfect. The breakfast was delightful, the staff was polite, and everything was clean. Parking was also convenient.

We were disappointed with the size of the suite's room, as it was not as big as we had expected. Additionally, the bed provided was small for this type of room. For taller individuals, their feet hung off the bed. In the future, we would opt for a superior class room as we did not find the price of the suite to be relevant for the value it offered. We expected the spa zone to be included in the price, but unfortunately, it wasn't.

This is the hotel to stay at, when in Liepāja! The personell is exceptionally well trained, everything is nicely decorated, clean and functional and the experience is just outstanding. This was the latest of our many stays here and we will be comming back again and again.

The only thing as a minor drawback is not having a swimming pool. They have a spa area with options for different relaxation choices, so a swimming pool would be a nice addition to that. But it's not an issue as 5min drive away is a big swimming pool with spa area. And the hotel administrator was extremely kind and helpful in assisting with all our questions

The hotel is very nice, clean and tidy, built in an old vintage style. The people at the hotel are helpful and polite. We had a room on the fourth floor with a lower ceiling on one side and very small skylights, and we were a little afraid that the room with a low ceiling and little light would be too small. At least that's the impression we got from the photos, but in real life it wasn't a problem at all and the room was super nice with comfortable beds and a big bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful with many tasty options. Parking in front of the hotel was free. And the hotel is right on the river bank, so it was good to go jogging to the beach and back in the morning.
