Everything nice, they even upgraded our room 👌🏼 We chose this hotel for the airport transfer which was great. Breakfast was ok,too.

The only (significant) minus was that we weren’t able to use the rooftop terrace/restaurant at all due to locals using it for praying (and hotel quests are NOT allowed to enter…) I mean… what point is it to have a hotel for tourists when they can’t use the hotel facilities? Or eat out at the hotel restaurant? (Only after a certain hour… I mean come on, we were super tired and hungry, the night before 2 long haul flights 😅) this was not communicated prior to being physically at the hotel either, so we weren’t able to cancel the booking or anything. I didn’t take points out of my rating as I don’t want to hurt the business, but it’s worth to mention. Hotels are for tourists who literally pay to stay there (and over 100$/night) and then can’t use any hotel facilities… ridiculous

I would have rated lower due to an insufferable neighbor who kept slamming doors and making loud noises throughout the night, but the hotel itself did not deserve that rating. I would still definitely recommend Amber Beach simply because the staff are exceptional. I've stayed here before, so I knew what to expect: clean rooms, good breakfast, a comfortable bed, decent bathroom amenities, and complimentary shared airport transfers. Unfortunately, this time I had to deal with an unruly neighbor who was rude to both staff and fellow guests. The staff at Amber Beach handled the situation exceptionally well, even offering me a room move (which I politely declined as it was already too late in the evening). A special shoutout to Livingston at Reception - he was so kind and pleasant, allowing me to check in early as soon as a room was available, and even granting me an extra hour for late check-out as l had an afternoon flight. There are many hotels in Hulhumale, but I will definitely keep coming back to Amber Beach. Their amenities, location, food, and above all, their wonderful staff make it worth every penny.

Noisy, disrespectful neighbors!

Stayed one night only, arrived late and checked out early. Can confirm that hotel is extremely responsive to emaila/messages. Free pickup from airport and return was efficient and smoothless. We were upgraded for free  to a room with diect sea view, third floor. Gorgeous views, thank you to the front desk staff. Room was a little small, but very clean. Beds comfy. Complimentary toiletries includes shampoo and shower gel, as well as body lotion. Noise from outside was acceptable (in the evening there was some noise from motorbikes; early morning and lare evening the garbage disposal truck crawls akong street that's noisy , but also temporary). We had only limited  time for breakfast,  just grabbed a few items. Overall fine ( filter coffee, no other coffees served for free; ony toast, no breadrolls erc; did not see an egg station). Good location. Close to airport (about 10 minutes). Beach is right across the street. Not sure whether it is a bikini beach. Some eateries and supermarkets close by. For about 90 E/ with breakfast and transportation, good choice.

Breakfast could start earlier than 7:30 - for many, a stay on Male is because of an early flight (especially since international flights  require to be at airport three hours earlier), - but the free  transfer service timetable was departure at 7:30-7:45. Balcony is fitted only with one chair and seats only one person.

Very comfortable room. Hotel is located next to beach and has lots of restaurants around. Reception is welcoming and professional. The restaurant attached serves reasonably good food for lunch and dinner.

Buffet breakfast was very average. There was a reasonable variety but the food was cold as the Bain Maries were not switched on. The waiting staff seemed disinterested and failed to provide sufficient cutlery, bowls and glasses for their guests. Hotel Taxes are very high. Be careful as taxes are quoted separately from the price of the hotel.

Stayed at Amber Beach for a few days before travelling back to the UK. It is a small boutique hotel located just across the road from the beach in Hulhumale. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff do everything they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The hotel also has a Red Snapper and Coffee Bean cafe both on the ground floor and on the roof patio. The food is excellent. And so is the coffee. They also provide the breakfast for the hotel which is also to a high standard. Would not hesitate to recommend the Amber Beach for a short stay before or after visiting the resort islands.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Amber Beach Hotel in Hulhumale, and I can confidently say it was a fantastic experience! Although my stay was only for one day, the level of service I received truly made it memorable. From the moment I arrived, Abilash, one of the staff members, went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. He not only upgraded my room, which was a lovely surprise, but he also provided me with all the necessary information about the local area and the amenities available at the hotel. His attentiveness made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest. What impressed me the most was Abilash's dedication to helping me plan my next destination. He took the time to communicate with the resorts I was considering and even assisted in booking speedboats for my onward journey. This level of personalized service is rare and greatly appreciated, especially when traveling. The location of the hotel is another highlight. Situated in a fantastic area, I was able to enjoy beautiful views and easy access to the beach. The ambiance of the hotel perfectly complemented the stunning surroundings, making it a great spot to unwind. Overall, my experience at Amber Beach Hotel was exceptional, thanks in large part to Abilash's outstanding service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Hulhumale. I look forward to returning in the future!

The staff is amazing. They were helpful at every turn. When the airline lost our luggage, the front desk personnel stayed in touch with the airport to make sure our luggage was retrieved and delivered. Their shuttle service was punctual, friendly, and super helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. And we were at a nice location right across the street from a nice beach.

Although our room was beautiful and spotless, the bed was absolutely horrendous. Literally springs popping up all over the top of the mattress making it impossible to find even a sliver of a comfortable spot to lay on. The springs are not to the point of piercing the mattress fabric, but I would not be surprised to hear that happening soon. I called down to the desk in the middle of the night and asked for two thick blankets to be brought so I could fold them and lay them strategically on the mattress so I could lay on the bed. And I will say, it’s possible the staff has no idea the mattress needs to be replaced. I doubt they are actually laying on it, because they are running around working so hard!

Very conveniently located close to the aiport, this hotel is perfect if you want to chill the day you arrive before connecting to your resort the next day or staying the night before your return flight. All staff were extremely corteous and helpful, in particular Livingston, who checked us in on on arrival and out on departure. Hotel taxi from and to the airport was included in the price and worked out very well both ways. Furthermore, they arranged to take us to a pharmacy to purchase sea sickness pills at no extra charge. Breakfast and dinner were also very good and shpuld also mention a nice beach right opposite the hotel.

I'm so lucky that they've upgraded my room to beach view. The location is just few steps away from the Hulhumale public beach. The sunrise and sunset views are exceptional. The facilities are good. They have an elevator so it is not hard to go up to the rooms compared to other hotels in the area. Their water heaters and AC are working perfectly. The water pressure is great for both showers and bidet. The room is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included for me and I loved their dishes. They have both western and local foods to try. The tuna salad with the wrap is my favourite. They also provide airport transfers. In my case, I was staying at another hotel prior here and they are very kind enough to fetch me from there. Above all, the hotel staff are very polite and accommodating. Traveling solo, I felt safe and well taken cared of.
