The rooms are huge and have air con. The bathroom was also spacious with a good sized shower. The staff both at reception and in the breakfast room were friendly and helpful and the receptionists had good English. Someone is on duty 24 hours and there was no problem booking me a taxi at 4.14am to get to the airport. The area outside the hotel is nicely done and there was a clear police presence ensuring none of the issues that have been previously commented on.

I stayed twice. The second time was a downstairs room opening on the pool which was a lovely room but a bit noisy when people went swimming what I consider a little late and I also had noise from above me. My upstairs room the first time was pretty much silent.

Gorgeous place, perfect location in quiet end of a beautiful street, right next to the river/jungle. Very nice and helpful staff. Breakfast is good! They have a cat called Milli, she's not to be seen most of the time, but I was lucky to get a little peak of her a couple of times. Adorable! The pool is a godsend on the hottest days of the year. Big room, and peaceful hotel. I had to check out at 4:30 am, they still made me toast and coffee/tea even though it was before breakfast serving hours. So kind!

Bed is a little hard, but still good.

Everything. We spent a month travelling all over Peru to different cities and staying in buried type of hotel and this was easily the very best! The rooms were enormous with air-conditioning the bed very comfortable the bathroom clean and also huge with lots and lots of hot water. what’s today at the most? Was that the room was absolutely quiet all night long and there are thick curtains to keep out any light so a good night sleep is guaranteed. The staff were jolly polite and pleasant at all times and very helpful with any requests. The breakfast was splendid with proper cutlery, polite and quick service with a full range of fruit, toast, eggs, etc. there is a very interesting library within the hotel and all sorts of historic photographs and artefacts. there is even a little kitchenette area with a fridge microwave kettle plates, etc so you can prepare some simple food in your room if you if you like like. The room also includes a sitting room with antique sofa and armchairs. The location is central but to the side so that you are not exposed to the continual racket of motorised rickshaw traffic. there is a nice little boulevard just outside for a lovely view of the Amazon and a historic boat museum.

That was nothing not to like this is the best hotel in Peru!

I loved the spacious rooms and how thoroughly clean they were, something that is very important to me when booking a stay. Same goes for the bathroom. Rooms were elegant without being overdone. Though the room was massive, the AC cooled exceptionally well and the WiFi was the fastest we found in the city. You get to choose out of a few options for breakfast and it is served to you downstairs, simple and satisfying. Learning about the history of the building adds to the wonder of it all, you can tell it’s a unique spot. It was more than a place to sleep, it was an experience.

I wish they had a lost and found just to hold things for say 24hrs after a guest leaves. Apparently they throw away anything they find right after you check out so make sure you don’t lose anything in the massive rooms!

The room and common places are sensational, phenomenal. This is the sole reason to stay here. It's like in a museum. AC is really good too. Beds are good. The pool is nice.

While I would definitely stay again in this beautiful hotel, there're a couple of things one should be prepared for. Large doors to the room have a kind of window into the always illuminated corridor. It means it's never dark in the room. Doors and windows are not soundproof, and there's a very loud bar across the street that worked till maybe 3am. We were really tired and it didn't bother us too much but both issues can. be a problem. The breakfast is served in an equally beautiful place but it's very basic, non-buffet and entirely vegetarian, so still okay but below average.

The room was the biggest I have ever stayed in. The staff were extremely helpful - they allowed us to check in very early, even though we were quite happy to leave our baggage and explore the area before checking in. The pool was an added bonus - cool and quiet, a great place to chill out and escape the noise of Iquitos.

The only real problem was that the air conditioning had trouble keeping the room cool - it was such a big room! The TV might be too small for some people but that didn’t matter to us, we hadn’t come to Iquitos to watch TV!

Fantastic location in a quiet street, along the river, but still close to the city center. Beautiful colonial style building. Loved the swimming pool for hot days! Super friendly staff, breakfast was simple and good. A quiet hotel with a peaceful atmosphere.. Great value for money! If I come to Iquitos again, I'll be staying here.

The pick from the airport fell through, the driver didn't come to meet me and I wasn't informed. But it worked out fine because there were plenty of taxis at the airport, which I assume the hotel knew.

Lovely little boutique hotel. It was really charming, air conditioning worked great, good breakfast, good location. The staff was very accommodating. Our flight was delayed and they changed our taxi easily. The front door was locked and they would buzz you in when they saw you coming. The front desk even buzzed it open when I caught a butterfly to release outside! It was easily a great bargain for the location and accommodations. Only a few blocks to the plaza where there was lots to eat and drink!

A bit frustrating to order breakfast on the first two days. The third day we finally realized that we can order omelets with cheese and ham instead of just plain eggs. Also “mixed stir-fried vegetables “ CAN have ALL three veggies included.

I loved the the beautiful, well preserved building. The rooms are wonderfully huge and well equipped. There was even a kitchenette. The small pool is very welcome. Iquitos can be very hot. The staff are very friendly. The kitchen made me delicious eggs with tomatoes and onions.

I didn’t like the fact, in the middle of the night & that because I was on the ground floor, my room and the room next to me flooded to a depth of approx 4cm over the entire, vast floor. The staff were unaware until I located someone. It must have happened before when it was raining hard. I was put in a must spare room but my neighbour helped them mop out his room. Nothing was mentioned in the morning. No apology or anything. Very bizarre. Get a room on the 1st floor if you stay here. The breakfast is ok. Plenty of tea and coffee. I was on a Aya dieta, which they said they can provide but it was very limited. No alternative milks. They had nice eggs and some fruit but the fruit portions were tiny. The fresh juice had sugar. A bit disappointing.
