In addition to all the basic important things (very clean, wonderful breakfasts with nice variety each day,) the staff were just very very present, helpful, and accommodating. It was the sort of place you hope to find as an international visitor, where they will let you use your developing Portuguese if you want, but can help some in English too - where they will tell you about what’s happening in the city, the neighborhood, etc. one night the evening staff person mentioned that the vendor we heard yelling was selling milho. When she saw I was interested, she helped me negotiate a local corn treat from the guy, a priceless experience. The owners had also saved some lovely pieces of furniture from when the house was a home. I like that kind of thing.

The internet strength was fine in the main area of the house but a little more spotty in my room.

-feels really safe -location is perfect, a female solo traveller can reach the main street of Barra without a problem (it's 2 minutes away) -hot water in the shower -free drinkable water -huge breakfast -supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance -the owner is pretty helpful

-a bit expensive -if you want to cook you have to buy the fundamentals like oil and salt -no hairdryer

The old house is simple but spotless, has lots of historical details, the showers are hot, the beds comfortable and the cafe de amanhã varied and tasty. But the staff was what really shines at this place. I stayed a week and the different women were all so helpful, so interesting and created a warm community ambiance among the guests.

Excellent and friendly staff. They made the stay comfortable.Location near the beach. Best to take uber to town centre.

A/C was not working as efficiently . Maybe needs servicing or a new one. Could not sleep one night but staff were very helpful.

I loved my time staying at Pousada Acácia. Rebecca and Lorena were the perfect hosts; they were very helpful and made me feel really at home. Breakfast was amazing! I can't thank the team enough for making my stay in Salvador really special

I had an excellent stay at this cute and cozy bed and breakfast. My room was air conditioned and clean, the Wi-Fi worked perfectly, the breakfast buffet was delicious, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I will certainly stay here again the next time that I visit Salvador. I recommend this place 100%.

Host and staff super helpful (using Google translate!). One of best places value for money I've stayed in 3 months travelling. Best breakfast! Location awesome; could just walk to beach within 4minutes. Supermarket and eating options all within couple minutes.

Maybe just better light blackout curtains. Rooms are large, bright and airy, which is great, but sun comes through the curtains early.

People were very receptive and helped with all, air conditioner worked perfect as well

They could change towels more often

I absolutely loved Pousada Acacia. I cannot emphasise enough how friendly the staff were. They were so generous and lovely!! The room was everything I needed and more, and the location was perfect. I recommend 100%!!
