From the very first message, Giuseppe was super helpful and genuinely kind, even helped with some personal surprises, and once we got there, it instantly felt like home. He treated us like family from the start, always available, full of suggestions, and made sure all went smoothly. The place is spotless, with your own private terrace and garden, and the sea literally right in front of you. You wake up to the sound of waves, and it’s super quiet and calm all day. It’s family-run and you can feel it, warm, genuine and full of heart. The area is special, we barely saw any tourists, and everyone we met would stop and go out of their way to help. It felt like we were part of the town, not just visiting it. We explored nearby towns and everything was so easy and local. Breakfast was homemade and different every morning, simple and fresh, perfect start to the day. Giuseppe also helped us book a dolphin tour I’ll never forget. I still rewatch the videos, it genuinely moved me. This wasn’t just a place to stay — it was a full-on experience, and one I’ll always carry with me. 100% recommended if you want to unplug, feel cared for, and enjoy Sicily like a local, this is the place. Zero complaints, really wished we could have stayed longer

Giuseppe was the absolute best host you could ask for! He gave us so many great recommendations on food, drinks, excursions and sight-seeing. The breakfasts he made each morning were mind-blowing! We looked forward to the breakfasts every day. All of the food was traditional Sicilian food freshly prepared by him. We spent my birthday there and he even made me a small cake, how sweet! There isn’t much in the little fishing town but there is plenty to do in the towns nearby. We spent one day visiting Mount Etna which was incredible! He also suggested a cooking class that we did and it was so fun! We highly recommend staying at Made in Sicily where you get authentic Sicilian food and hospitality :).

This property exceeded our expectations in all ways possible. What really pushed me to book this hotel in the first place were the outstanding reviews I saw; now I can confirm they are all true. Here are a few reasons why this was the easiest 10/10 I had to ever give: - Location: situated in a tranquil area in Santa Tecla, this place was just a few minutes away by car from the busy carnival event in acireale - it was a perfect balance between enjoying a peaceful night and still being able to experience the beautiful Carnival events. We were also able to drive to several other locations nearby such as Mt Etna, Taormina, Catania and shopping outlets. Parking near hotel was not a problem. There are several restaurants nearby with some delicious fish options. - The place: I cannot but highly praise the way the place is furnished, with intricate detail that gives you a warm Sicilian welcome. The same goes for the cleanliness of the whole place - spotless to say the least. - Breakfast: photos don't do justice, for the taste is authentic, prepared with love from fresh homemade produce and heartwarming. Simply amazing! - The host and staff: last but not least, Giuseppe was essential in taking all the above to the next level. He made himself available to contact immediately after booking and was so welcoming without being intrusive. He ensured everyone was comfortable and was always ready with tips on how to make our holiday even more exciting. All the staff were lovely and helpful.

Before booking here, I did a lot of research into where me & my Mum could stay so we could gain the most authentic experience of Sicily and wow did we stumble across a gem. Within an hour of booking, Giuseppe had whatsapped me to thank me for our booking and said he was looking forward to meeting us and that he was at our disposal for anything we needed. In the week leading up to our stay, he arranged a boat trip completely hassle-free. On arrival, Giuseppe welcomed us so warmly. Giving us a full tour of the facilities and inviting us to the terrace for a complimentary welcome drink of a lovely sparkling Etna wine. He then sent documents with guides and tours available to book which was really helpful to plan our days. A stand out for us was that each morning, Giuseppe made a fresh traditional breakfast for us served at a time of our choice. Both mornings we were left in absolute awe of our breakfast and didn’t know where to start! Everything was absolutely delicious. We even had cheesecake made by his girlfriend which was a lovely touch. Our morning flight home meant we weren’t able to enjoy a breakfast by the sea, however, Giuseppe had thought of everything and got up early to make us warm rolls to eat at the airport. Throughout our stay, Giuseppe really was at our disposal. He drove us to and from our boat excursion - during which he waved to us from the balcony which we thought was a really lovely touch. He even bought us a refreshing Sicilian drink after our boat tour. Location of this accommodation is a little bit difficult to get to without a taxi. But don’t let this put you off as Giuseppe arranged taxis into Catania and back as well as our transfer to the airport. He personally drove us to Giardini Naxos for a cooking class we had booked at a lower rate than a taxi. Nothing was ever too much trouble! As far as the accommodation is concerned, it is immaculate. So well done, with beautiful touches everywhere.

This is a little gem in Santa Tecla! Exactly as described by the owner and others! No exaggeration. You fill like home away from home. Super warm welcome by Giuseppe, the owner. One of the best views I have experienced. And you can enjoy the swim I this turquoise water. Great home made food prepared by Giuseppe and his wife and excellent service. If you need a thorough and authentic guide of Sicily, the owner is the guy who will navigate you. He has recommended several places to visit and eat. It was right on point. Can't say enough. Thank you and will definitely go back. Most relaxed vacation I've had visiting Sicily and Italy!!!

Everything! We had the most beautiful experience at Made in Sicily Santa Tecla. The place is stunning, with breathtaking views that make every moment magical. We had a great time at the “made in Sicily”. The house is around 30 min away from Catania airport and right next to the sea. I stayed there with my girlfriend for 8 nights. The village is calm with little traffic and a great place to calm down. Giuseppe was very hostile. He contacted me directly after booking and welcomed me with a glass of wine. The daily breakfast was local and fantastic. Giuseppe had a lot of tips and frequently asked whether we needed something. The room was beautiful and cleaned everyday. We’d love to come back one day and can recommend it.

Santa Tecla, a gem born in the heart of Sicily, offered us an unforgettable four-night escape to paradise. Our hosts were nothing short of extraordinary—always there to lend a helping hand, their warm hospitality was a highlight of our stay. The breakfasts they prepared were a delightful daily surprise, featuring a tantalizing array of dishes, with a special shoutout to the heavenly granita. The rooms were not only spacious but also incredibly cozy, providing us with the perfect retreat after days filled with exploration. And oh, the view! It truly left us breathless, a constant reminder of the beauty of Sicily. We relished in the calm embrace of the sea during tranquil moments and embarked on exciting adventures to Taormina, Savona, Siracuzza, and Alcantare. As we reluctantly bid farewell to this enchanting haven, we made a promise to ourselves: when we return to Sicily, there's no doubt that our journey will lead us back to the warm embrace of Giuseppe and Santa Tecla.

Everything was absolutely perfect!

Giovanni is an incredible host, going out of his way to be of help. The location is right by the sea, and breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking the sea. And what an amazing breakfast it is! The staff is super friendly as well. Our room was spacious and had all the necessities. Santa Tecla is a small fishing village. A car is very advisable.

While the room was spacious, the furniture could have been a bit more comfortable.
