The reception guys are super friendly and efficient, the beds were super comfortable, the food at the 1883 restaurant was delicious and most of the staff were very friendly and treated us with respect and kindness, the horse riding team is great, patient and kind.
The cleanliness of the rooms could definitely do with a lot of improvement , when I checked in there was a used toothpick underneath my bed and it was still there when I left, the mirrors weren’t clean, at some point we had to move the couch because something had fallen underneath it, the amount of dirt we found was scary, dirty swimming pools. The “parking fee” I was expected to pay at check in unexpectedly really bored me, when I book on booking.com, I want to pay the full amount of everything and not be told about additional fees at check-in please.

Open plan living area and kitchen. Cosy fireplace. Unit was clean.
We think it's newly build units with a 'mountain view' - except for other units in front of you. The unit is also right next to the other unit and a unit above.... Definitely not mentioned on the specs for these rooms/units. You going away to relax then you stay right next to the other guests. The rooms was extremely cold, no heaters or air-conditioning to heat up. It was a very cold weekend. The fireplace only warms up the living area - and no wood are supplied... If you arrive late and don't have any wood or charcoal - you going to freeze. We booked a 2 bedroom villa but we all(4 of us) ended up sleeping in the one bedroom.

We stayed in one of the lodge rooms and it's beautifully decorated with more than enough space for two people to move around in. Very clean and tidy as well. Although the service at the restaurant wasn't that great, *most* of the food items on the all-inclusive dinner menu were excellent! Would definitely recommend the chicken roulade and fillet steak! The chicken curry potpie, not so much (very bland with lots of chicken skin and a watery "sauce").
There is no extractor fan in the bathroom, and with the room being open plan, everything was covered in steam after taking a shower. Even the bedside tables, coffee station, and closet doors. Service at the restaurant is very slow - even on days when we were only 3 couples seated for dinner at the same time it would take forever for the food to arrive. The self-serve breakfast isn't set up well - people were queueing from all directions for the egg station, so people who didn't even want eggs had to wait too because they couldn't get to the rest of the buffet spread.

Brilliant staff and the scenery is out of this world! I’ll definitely be returning with my family soon. As someone with an extremely busy schedule, I was genuinely impressed by how well-organised the estate is. My family had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
That said, there are a few areas that need attention. There was no WiFi in the room, which made it difficult to stay connected, and we experienced several power issues during our stay. Some plugs weren’t working properly, and the lack of a generator setup affected our overall comfort. Additionally, we were told pony rides would be available, but on Friday we were informed they were no longer happening — this left my kids quite disappointed. With a few improvements, this place could be absolutely exceptional. Looking forward to seeing those upgrades on our next visit!

Villa , activities.
You can only check in at 16:00 , for the price you pay this is unacceptable. Way too late. The Foret MTB trails were untidy and poorly marked.

We had a wonderful weekend at Dunkeld! From the moment we arrived, the service stood out — even the security at the gate made a great first impression with a warm and professional welcome. Our villa was clean, well-equipped with everything we needed, and the views were absolutely stunning.
The only small downside was that the twin bedroom didn’t have bedside tables, which made it a bit tricky to keep essentials like phones or water nearby. A full-length mirror would also be a nice addition. We understand space might be limited, but small touches like these could really enhance the experience.

Breakfast and restaurant was very good, room is a good size with good amenities
Staff, especially the cleaning staff where very rude and was ready to set the working over the weekend, i.e. as it was a long weekend we hardly unpacked and the two ladies already notified us that they does not do cleaning on Sunday, also they lied about replacing used coffee and tea in the room stating that you only get once when you arrive cost us a drive up to reception to find out about this to find out that they suppose to replace this every day. Everything for them seemed a big problem. Over and above this, the staff are friendly and seem they in great need on training related to serving guests

The place was beautiful and the accommodations was very clean. The stuff was super friendly. Saw all the animals and did most of their activities. The place is quiet and you can relax. The room was aesthetically pleasing and well decorated I really enjoyed the weather since I love cold weather. They should invest in an air conditioner or better yet provide fire wood for the fire place. They should remove the two single beds and put one double The disappointing part was that for such a beautiful place there was no WiFi in the house we booked. No smart tv so we can stream Netflix or Showmax and the DStv channels they pay for are really not worth it, it's the cheapest option
