Quaint hotel with a sense of history. One feels like the place has a soul, something lacking so very often in some big modern hotels. But above everything else, what gives Shamrock Arms 10/10 are the two lovely ladies Sue and Belinda, who took such good care of us. It's so important that a hotel or guesthouse has this personal touch, a touch that sometimes makes all the difference when staying somewhere. Their good communication before our arrival, the information they gave us once we had arrived and the delicious dinner kindly prepared for us, all need to be mentioned. We appreciated it all! We thank you both so much for making our stay so pleasant and comfortable. We feel like we have two friends in Waterval Boven!!

Nothing could have been better!

This was our stopover between Graskop and Johannesburg and we did not really explored the area only stayed overnight. The room was a little bit outdated but overall this place has its own charm so it really did not bother us at all. The service provided by Sue and Belinda was really exceptional and the dinner was really wonderful, we felt spoiled!

The hospitality from the host was amazing. We felt right at home from the beginning. The rooms were cozy and clean. The homecooked meals (breakfast and dinner) were very nice.

The accomodation itself was perfect. The only thing i could think about that i wouldn’t like is the town in which the accomodation is located. But we used this accomodation as a stopover, so it was not a problem

Such a beautiful B&B with so much history...The perfect half way stop between Johannesburg and the Kruger National Park. A warm welcome from Sue and Belinda on arrival with all the comforts in your room. Wifi, mini bar, TV, aircon, electric blankets etc. After a short rest and shower, we went for dinner, great meal and hospitality! A must stay, only a few minutes from the N4.

We had a great welcome and they knew who we were before introducing ourselves. Rooms are great, large size, fully equipped. Neat and clean and smelled amazing. All staff very friendly and helpful. Meals were great, service impeccable. Highly recommended. We loved the porch, peaceful.

Everything was great, nothing we didnt like. Beautiful old building that works well!

Under trying conditions due to extensive load shedding Terry, Belinda and Sue went out of their way to make me comfortable and have everything I needed. Great food and peaceful surroundings.

Sue & Belinda are warm-hearted hosts, we had an absolut friendly Welcome and stay with them. They offered delicious food and our room war well equipped, for example with electric blankets in the bed, Coffee and tea accessories and a well filled minibar. Their friend and local guide Terry showed us amazing views in the beautiful surrounding of Waterval Boven on a short walk of about 90 minutes, such as impressive rock formations on the edge of a steep gorge, a waterfall and spectacular views over and over again.

We felt very welcome. Service and friendliness of staff was exceptional. Dinner and breakfast was prepared especially for us, the kids loved it. A big thank you to Sue and Bellinda!

Sue, which take care of everything the guests need, is a real diamond, and she makes the place so special. Breakfast was very good.
