We liked the staff (especially breakfast staff!) and location. Breakfast was one of the best breakfast’s I ever had in my life! Hotel was fully booked, but rooms were soundproofed, so you could sleep in peace. Also air conditioner was nice!

Room was quite small and old. There was no mirror in our room (except in the bathroom) so applying make-up or doing your hair was quite tricky, because the bathroom was VERY SMALL! Pillows in bed were too big and voluminous, so my neck was quite sore next day. Also mini fridge was missing, so we could not keep our soft drinks cold. We booked our nights from Booking (no cancellation) and after that we checked the hotel webside, where was told, that you can stay 50% cheaper in summertime, so we paid too much. That was kind of a dissapointment.

The coffee is excellent, the hotel is wonderful, and the lobby creates a perfect atmosphere for both business meetings and relaxation. The front desk staff are friendly and always ready to help when needed

During dinner with colleagues at the restaurant, a Russian waitress was unusually insistent in asking for a tip. I’ve been to dozens of countries, but I’ve never encountered anything like this. I was so taken aback that I was literally at a loss for words and didn’t know how to respond to what felt more like a demand than a request. The entire evening — and my impression of the hotel — was hopelessly ruined. I honestly have no words to describe how I felt.

We decided to stay in Kuopio last minute and although the price was quite high (there was a wine event in the city) we ended up staying there 3 nights. The staff are so warm and welcoming, the rooms are beautiful and had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent, enough time to enjoy a large variety of local food as well as sámiland food. The restaurant staff are very helpful and all so very kind too. We will never doubt to book any other hotel in Kuopio anymore.

Pet room had full carpet and room stayed cool enough (21) during the hot weather (28). Overall room was really clean and quiet and we enjoyed the breakfast a lot.

Parking garage is super tight, bigger cars might have issues. Minibar and more storage for clothes and bathroom items would be expected for this level hotel.

A good location for walking around Kuopio. We really didn't need a car until we went to the Sauna further south, though we could have explored more by car, and we did walk a lot! The room is comfortable, but not very big. The breakfast was fantastic. The gym was serviceable. There is a bar in the lobby, since the restaurant closes at 10pm, but it's not as nice as sitting in the restaurant area. We enjoyed our stay but felt it was a bit overpriced compared to other places we stayed.

Parking wasn't cheap, though it was secure. There was no way to clean off equipment in the gym - there were paper towels but no disinfectant.

Clean and cozy. Good breakfest. Pillows are way too fluffy for someone who has used to use a bit flatter pillow. Parking lot is rather small but there is a hall and a couple of chargers for the elctric cars also

That traditional lapland "joiku" music in the bar will drive you crazy in no time. Please shut it off! :D Restaurant is too expensive.

Breakfast was delicious with a lot of options to choose from. Especially enjoyed the Poro Muistamakkara (not sure if the spelling is right).

The pillow on the bed was rather bulky for my taste but now I'm just being picky, and most likely if I had asked for a softer or smaller one the hotel staff would have provided.

The hotel decor was wonderfully laplandish, all the staff were great, friendly professional, and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were delicious experiences full of nature's delicacies which one could not find in other restaurants various smoked fish and herbs from the Finlamd's nature as well as the more familiar breakfast items. The location was good too.

Lack of wardrobe and room for luggage. We had two small luggage and it was just and just enough room for those. The bathroom also was small and the location of toilet paper holders wasn't ideal.

This is the second time that I've stayed in this hotel and it is simply the best accommodation in town! The difference from most Finnish hotels is that they seem to understand customer service and have trained their staff well. The breakfast is simply excellent!

No issues, though perhaps this time the room was a bit small - with luggage it would be a tight squeeze, but it wasn't a problem for an overnight stay.

Wonderful cosy lobby for relaxing together with colleagues after a busy day. Breakfest is beyond all expectations – amazing selection of quality local food, very high standard of service.

The design of the shower often resulted in wet bathroom floors and staff forgetting to change the towels. This is a very easily remedied fault that should be pointed out, as it will eliminate the tar in the barrel of honey.
