The staff were very kind, and the room was super clean. The location was excellent, and the shuttle bus service from Toba Station was very convenient. The selection of food and drinks in the lounge was outstanding. At this hotel, guests could enjoy a more comfortable breakfast in the lounge by bringing food from the main dining hall — It was very convenient. I chose the Japanese-style half board, and the meals were absolutely delicious. The view from the room was fantastic, and the views from the lobby and lounge were also impressive.

The only downsides were the step at the entrance to the bathroom, and the fact that to use the public bath, you had to wear regular clothes and walk over to the ryokan next door.

Loved the room and the amazing view. We had been on the road a few days and felt pampered arriving here. The pyjamas nearly fit me!

There was one thing that wasn't great. We went downstairs for a drink and something to eat as we didn't feel like leaving the hotel. 6.30 pm on a Wednesday night. Everything was closed except for two fancy restaurants with very expensive menus. No bar. No snacks. No room service....and the shuttle into town had finished for the day. I was pretty disappointed considering the status of the hotel. We had to go out in the night and find ourselves a meal. If we had known we could have planned around it. Its not like 6.30pm is late...

This hotel is amazing. The rooms are huge and so comfortable, the staff exceptional and the breakfast buffet had a huge selection of Western and Japanese options. The view from the outdoor lounge is incredible. We got up to watch the sunrise from the outdoor area and the staff provided the guests (there were about 10-12 of us) with coffee while we enjoyed the changing colours. There is a lot of history here as the Emperor stays here and Queen Elizabeth did as well. It’s lovely to see they celebrate this with their displays.

That we only stayed here one night! We would have like to have had evening drinks at the outdoor lounge but the bar closed at 5pm (temporarily I think). The options for dinner here are mainly fine dining so if you are looking for something different you’ll need to head into town.

The views from the hotel are gorgeous, especially the outdoor patio/lounge area. Tatami room was very spacious and perfect for our family with young children. Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Shuttle bus service to and from Toba station was very helpful.

There should have been information about the shuttle bus and pickup point from the station given during booking. We tried to walk there from the station but we found that it's not really doable up the steep and winding mountain road with luggages and 3 small children. Thankfully, the staff found us at the "halfway" mark (the Onsen), and offered to drive us up to the hotel.

Rooms are fully renovated . Very clean. I love hotels that use high end hair dryers. It just makes the whole experience more luxurious. This hotel use the Refa brand hair dryer. 😍 been always want to try their hair dryers. The staff are extremely helpful in helping us to bring luggages to room. Which I always appreciated this service. As it is heavy and after a long day visiting many attractions, when you come to a hotel that really take care of you the moment you step into the lobby makes every penny of the money well worth it. The breakfast is good. Love their pudding and homemade tofu. Not commercial taste at all. Nice ocean view.

The hotel comes into two different building. For the hot spring you need to go into a different building either by 4 minutes walk or take the hotel shuttle. When you visit during the winter time, it makes you discourage to go to their hot spring. Wish both buildings got their own hot spring. The other building is under renovation, I can foresee once that completed, the room rates would go higher. I love their chain hotel offer mikimoto spa facilities. Wish I find that out earlier they have facial available then I would have plan things differently. As their facial and body massage service starts at 3pm.

The room was spacious with a fantastic view on the Port. The onsen was quite spacious, situated in an adjacent building but easily accessible. Enjoying a beer on the terrace at sunset was priceless!

If you don't have a car, the hotel is quite distant from places where to eat or drink. It has a rather fancy restaurant, but if you are looking for something quick and easy to eat, you won't find anything (the bar downstairs is overpriced and offers only nuts as food)

Nice hotel with many nice spots to take photos and with good view of the ocean. We happened to be there where there are fireworks. Hotel has its own shop, good for some last minute buying. Staff were professional and friendly. They even provide senbei in the room, my daughters love it! Location near to pearl island, toba aquarium.

Futon is a bit too thin for us. The room corridor has a bit of mouldly smell.

We like this hotel. The view was very pretty. We were facing the harbor. We saw sunrise from our room. It was a plus during our stay here. The hotel is fancy and very beautiful surroundings. Our room was clean and spacious. We loved our room. All the staffs are very helpful and eager to help. We felt we were treated like VIP. They offer shuttle bus that really help us a lot.

There is a nice ambience about the hotel. The full buffet breakfast was excellent. The onsen facility is a short walk to a neighbouring property. It had one indoor bath and two outdoor which were great despite not having a view.

Although an "International" hotel there wasn't an English language speaker at reception when I had some queries at check in. But we got by and they were very flexible which I appreciated.
