Daisy at reception, Paul in the dining room and Dennis our guide were exceptional. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Dinner choices ans quality were superb and plenty of choice in the breakfast and lunch buffet. A river view cabin is something everyone should request as it makes for a memorable afternoon chilling out watching the wildlife come to drink.

Our first cabin was a bush view and not nearly as nice/special as our second river view cabin

The most incredible location with the best staff. We stayed for 4 nights in January and can’t rate it highly enough. The staff were amazing. The location is less than 5 minutes from the airstrip. Daisy greeted us when we first arrived with a refreshing drink and asked if we wanted to go straight on Safari after being shown to our rooms. Simon our guide looked after us for 4 days. He always knew where to go and where to get the best angle. He went above and beyond making sure we had a great experience every day. The staff in the hotel were exceptional. Lawrence and Paul generally looked after us in the restaurant and they were amazing. Always friendly and very witty. They made sure my allergies were catered to. The chefs were amazing and cooked some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. There was so much choice every day. Lunch and Dinner was generally a 5 or 7 course extravaganza. We only ever managed a few of the courses as there was so much food. On the last night they organised a private bbq with incredible food. The bar staff were also excellent and knew how to make great cocktails. The tent was gorgeous and cosy and absolutely spotless. Even the veranda overlooking the river was spotless. Not an insect to be seen! The staff put hot water bottles into the bed every night at turn down and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. I had some of the best sleep I’ve ever had. In the mornings we were courteously woken up with hot drinks and biscuits brought to our tent. All in all an amazing place! We did lots of research on all the camps and we’re so glad we booked Mara Intrepids Camp.

My stay here was perfect. I stayed 3 days and 4 nights and it felt like the perfect amount of time to be here. Our staff was amazing the entire time. Our tent is right next to the river, and the camp is in the middle of the park. It was perfect. Going in beginning of January, you may experience a little bit of rain to prepare for. Carolyne at reception is great for any of your needs and so kind to talk to. George is a great chef and great conversation during our meal preparations. All staff was amazing honestly. I highly recommend this camp for your stay. They can book any extras you may want along the way. We got to see every animal of big 5 except the rhino which was understandable why. Stay here for the best service and experience for your safari adventure in Kenya. I will be returing!

No complaints.

Great location. Their focus on making the game drives enjoyable was very visible. I recommend the hotel to get the most out of a limited time visit. We had 3 wonderful days and that seemed like a perfect amount of time.

I wish the there were more options for dinner. I think something other than American/European cuisine would allow people to be more adventurous. Might want to consider have a small dish option for those who are adventurous.

**An Unforgettable Experience – A Dream Come True in the Heart of Maasai Mara** From the moment we arrived at this incredible tented camp, my wife and I knew we were about to experience something truly special — and it exceeded every expectation. For four unforgettable nights, we were immersed in the heart of Kenya’s Maasai Mara, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, wildlife beyond imagination, and the kind of peace you only find in nature. But what truly made this stay extraordinary was the warmth and hospitality of the people who made us feel like family from the very beginning. The tented camp was pure magic — luxurious yet beautifully connected to its wild surroundings. Falling asleep to the sounds of lions in the distance and waking to the songs of birds as the sun rose over the savannah is something we will never forget. The attention to detail, the comfort, the warmth of the campfire under the stars — it was like stepping into a dream. Every game drive was a new adventure, and our guide’s deep knowledge, respect for the land, and ability to track wildlife left us in awe. We witnessed the Big Five, playful cheetah cubs, herds of elephants, and even a leopard lounging in a tree — moments that made us feel truly alive and connected to something greater. But it was the people who made our stay exceptional. The staff treated us not as guests, but as dear friends. Their kindness, stories, laughter, and care touched our hearts deeply. We came for the wildlife, but we left with full hearts, beautiful memories, and lifelong connections. Thank you to everyone at the camp for giving us one of the most meaningful experiences of our lives. This was not just a vacation — it was a journey of the soul. We left a piece of our hearts in the Mara, and we can’t wait to return.

We had an amazing stay at Mara Intrepids. The tents were super comfortable with good quality mattress and pillows. The shower water was hot. The service through the stay was exceptional. You get a dedicated person taking care of cleaning your room, setting up mosquito net at night, bringing bed warmers at night and hot coffee in the morning. The restaurant food was pretty good with a lot of options and our server Mercy was super nice and funny. The game drives are amazing! You can have up to 3 drives a day or combine two of them into a longer 6-7 hour drive. Our driver / guide Raphael was the best - very knowledgeable and friendly. He took us to all the great spots and we couldn’t be more happy with him.

It’s rather expensive property but the wine list is very disappointing. For a $1000+/night accommodation most of the wine bottles (with exception of a couple champagne options) are $7 retail bottles. It would be great to highlight more South African wines from the mid- and high range.

Since we arrived at Mara Intrepids, they welcomed us like royalty. Our assigned driver was Paul who took care of all our Safaris, every day and every daily route was geared towards showing us the best of Masai Mara, he is definitely responsible for half of all our amazing experiences. He was in charge of contacting us with the Ballon Safari, an experience that I recommend not to be missed and take us to visit the Masai Mara Village. Upon arriving at the Camps, Debbie, Queen and Daysi welcomed us, with exquisite hot towels for our hands and an exquisite juice, offering and demonstrating to us in spades during our stay that they would be there for everything we needed and that was the case. Our room was taken care of by Leah, who every day dedicatedly prepared our room, closed our musketeers, set out hot water bottles and brought hot chocolate or coffee for us before our first daily game drive around 6 am. After returning from our Safaris, delicious food awaited us in the restaurant where Shillaw and Masila were in charge of serving us, knowing our tastes and often anticipating our requirements, they consented our son with all his tastes. I just want to say, if you want to know Masai Mara, the place is Mara Intrepids. It is worth every penny and despite being as generous as we could with our tips, it will never be enough to compensate for the attention. Asanté!!

Nothing! Everything was perfect.

A dream come true! What an incredible Safari experience. You couldn’t ask for more and we cannot recommend highly enough. All of the staff members go out of their way to help you have the most incredible experience. Firstly our Safari Guide Dennis was EXCELLENT! Dennis was so knowledgeable, kind and truly looked after us. He could answer all of our questions and went out of his way to ensure we had the best time seeing as many animals as possible. Other names to mention who helped us have a fantastic experience: Pauline, Shillah and Kenneth. We spoke to Diana, Nickson and Jonathan one evening who spoke about their culture and it was brilliant. John always looked after our room so well with hot chocolate in the morning and hot water bottles in our bed. Food was great. The camp is super conveniently located right next to the air strip. Would return in a heartbeat!

Access to national park and guide/driver. Sakut (aka John) was the best guide we have had in all our travels. We had hours of safari every day. He was knowledgeable and an excellent tracker. We saw more animals than we ever imagined possible. One of the servers Pomba (aka Metrine) organized an African dinner which was fantastic. Also we required a battery and inverter system to run a CPAP machine overnight when the electricity to the camp is turned off. Duncan organized this in a very efficient and stress free way and without it our trip would have been much less enjoyable.

The food was well prepared but there was no Kenyan food on the menu which was disappointing. Also the price of drinks is very high
