Location. First of all the location is very good. Located very close to a lake it allows very nice walks around the lake. The Room The room was very nice and quite spacious. It was quite large and has been recently refurbished including the matrasses. We booked a room beginning March and therefore, the Hotel was not very busy which is a plus. However, our room was located on the city/street side, and the street was quite busy. The room was not air-conditioned so we had to keep the window opened overnight but as I said, being on the street side you cannot expect to have a good night of sleep unless noise does not disturb you. You can book a superior room which has a garden/lake view but it is much smaller. May be is the price to pay if you want to have a good night of sleep. If I have to book again, I would go for the garden view room. The sockets are very special. You can use standard continental European plugs BUT they should not be round. They should be flat! Otherwise they would not fir to the wall sockets! But there are plenty of sockets everywhere. The telly is huge although we did not have any use of it. However what is much more important is the Wi-Fi (see below) Everything was provided towels shower gel etc.. I know, all this is quite obvious but I've been in hotels where it wasn't nearly as obvious. A kettle is also available in the room with tea and some coffee. A part the missing air-condition the room was very nice. Breakfast One word here: Excellent! You can get continental or British breakfast, only the kidney beans were missing otherwise you have everything you can think of. When you book the room don’t forget to also include the breakfast. It is worth any penny of it. The internet The internet service is very good. You can get internet in your room and my measurements showed a download speed of 107 Mbps and upload of 39.9 Mbps.

Nice, well lit room with good space in the area. Good and comfortable bed. All the usual amenities you expect (safe, shelves, coat hangers, lounge chair and small table). The room also includes a small water kettle with some coffee and tea options. Great, nice and warm shower with good water pressure. VERY delicious breakfast with an usual wide variety of food options.

The bathroom was extremely small and tight and in general poorly designed and maintained. The shower does not have a curtain which caused the bathroom floor to be extremely wet after each shower. The toilet seat was also unattached on one side which should be an easy fix for general maintenance though.

The new interior design is great. Beds are comfy. Great view from the rooms on the backside of the building.

Breakfast area is always overcrowded. Had to wait and search a seat. Missing plates and knifes. The scrambled egg was green somehow. For a coffee you had to wait in line for 10minutes in front of the one and only coffee machine. The bathroom is new but no shower door nor curtain. So the whole bathroom gets flooded every morning and it has no drain. Just drop all the towels available on the floor. Rooms have no AC, just a small fan. It is very hot during summer months inside.

Excellent room, with a modern fan provided. Excellent breakfast facilities.

No air conditioning. Also no USB power sockets available in room. Only Swiss main power sockets available and no adapter available from reception. If this is your first night, please ensure you have a Swiss power adapter available.

Good location, free parking. Spacious, nicely done room (I had a small double which was bigger than many normal doubles). Good breakfast

Slightly chaotic breakfast, in that the room used was nowhere big enough for number of customers staying, and tables were not cleared efficiently. Otherwise, all was good

We had a spacious, airy room on the top floor facing the courtyard. The room was clean and comfortable, newly renovated. Very quiet at night. The bathroom was small but clean. The shower had good pressure and hot water but was the smallest stall I have ever used. Friendly and helpful staff. There is secure bicycle storage. Breakfast was good, very nice coffee. Good value, I would return.

Big room . Clean. Located near train station. Good breakfast with choice of nuts in yogurt.

Road construction and blocks in front of the hotel. When open the door to balcony, it is dusty. Reception for check in close until 4pm or 5pm. The city tax issue should be told to customers when check in but not check out. No fridge in room.

Excellent location very close to the train station and the lake. Breakfast was good with plenty of options sweet and savoury and milk alternatives. The room was comfortable although not very big. Friendly staff.

The window curtain was broken. Not a lot of space in the room. A desk would be nice too. The shower/toilet area was very small and there was no shower curtain so a lot of water ended up on the floor.

The room was perfect for a single traveller, there was a lovely restaurant nearby on the shore of the lake and it was an easy walk from the train station. The breakfast buffet had a great selection. The staff were very helpful and goodnatured.

Swiss electrical sockets are not the same as European ones, but the lovely staff were able to lend me an adaptor.

Great hotel, just outside the city centre. Next to a lovely lake and one of the best Japanese restaurants. Breakfast was good value and the staff were extremely helpful. We stayed in a trio room with 2 small children, a cot and a dog. And it had plenty of space for us all as well as a push chair. Will stay again!
