I stayed at Waterside Lodge as a stopover on the way to Sodwana Bay. It was exactly what I needed - well managed, clean, comfortable and welcoming - for a one-night stay. The rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable with pure cotton linen. The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful.

There was nothing I would have improved on. It's right off the highway through town, which means it's not in the best location aesthetically, but perfect if you just want to stop for the night.

Only slept over, was pleasantly surprised with the grounds and rooms, always just used to drive past, but now found a great halfway stop over for the future. Rooms are beautiful and very clean. At the Grotto Restaurant the food was fantastic and very good service. Staff and owners very friendly and felt very welcome.

the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms was spacious, clean and comfortable. The establishment is close to shops and fuel and central located. The restaurant on-site, Grotto, was great. Great food and service.

There was no shower cover in our bathroom, so the floor got really wet after we used the shower, but other than that, all was great!

The beautiful gardens around the property. The dam at the other side of the property. Receptionist was friendly & ushered us to our 2 rooms we've booked. There's covered parking nexto the rooms Yes Yes

There were too many mosquitoes in our rooms. We had to use our own mosquito coils. We noticed squatters at the other end of dam. There's heavy vehicle's noise passing the property

The view of the place was amazing and peaceful. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help.

The rooms were dirty, and there were cockroaches in our rooms. The beddings did not have a great smell, also the drains had a bad smell.

Location is great in that it is not that far out of the centre of town, close to a mall and even though it is located on the main thoroughfare to Pongola, there was not any disturbances as the lodge is somewhat removed from the road. Nice clean swimming pool, well-kept gardens and a lovely dam that those who are inclined to can fish in.

the room that I had booked was a little cramped, but as it was only an overnight stay, nothing to be upset about.

Very pleasant evening & was enjoyed by all 4 of us -

The rooms were clean but the chemicals used to clean are potent with a really strong smell - over the top & cause a horrible headache.

I like the services it was an excellent one Also they always keep the room clean

What I didn't like it was the cockroach in the room

Onsite restaurant was nice. Nice grounds to walk around. Comfy bed. Pool was clean and usable. Friendly and helpful staff.

Lack of backup power/lighting, absolutely NEEDS to have backup lights in case of emergency. Pool area could do with refresh/maintenance to make it 'nice'. Aircon was very noisy. Lack of available sockets in the bedrooms.

Amazing Staff, very friendly, from reception to the restaurant, even the security guard was very welcoming.

Nothing , i dont have any complaints
