We needed accommodation near the garage where our car was as we had broken down. This was reasonably priced and the nearest hotel to the garage. We were given a family room with 2 extra beds upstairs - this did mean that the double bed we had downstairs was a bit small. That said, the room had all the facilities we needed and plenty of electrical sockets for phone chargers and laptop. Wi-Fi was good, an ‘open’ network but useful if not wanting to do anything private. Good location, lovely view of Saint Flour and easy walk to shops and restaurants. It was a 12 minute walk to Aldi for sandwiches and supplies. There was a vending machine in the lobby where coffee was 1€ and hot water was free so could make tea or sachets of hot chocolate. There was also a MW in the lobby. The receptionist very kindly let us stay in our room later at checkout as our car wasn’t ready and they had no more availability so we had to go to another hotel, but we couldn’t check in until 4pm and had nowhere to leave our bags.

Nothing wrong with the property at all but a slight lack of communication through Booking.com messages when the booking machine outside didn’t recognise our booking. Some people might struggle with the steep uphill climb back to the hotel from the town, we are quite fit and it did make us out of breath.

Location was very good - just off the A75 motorway, far enough to avoid the noise. Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast, plenty to chose from.

No restaurants nearby - needed to drive, or face a fairly long steep walk. Easy to miss on approash, if not paying attention!

The noisy people in the next room, this was not the Brit hotels fault, it's the first time I've ever been disturbed there , they were loud in the room and even knocked on our door gone midnight to ask if we had spare duvets because they were cold ! The hotel was not cold nor was it to hot it was extremely comfortable

Short walk to a beautiful town and short drive to the cathedral where there are lovely bars shops and restaurants would recommend to go stunning!

Rooms a bit dated nothing to shout about basic

The short notice booking was efficient. The young lady who seemed to do everything was totally on the ball. The breakfast was classic continental and from 6.30 to 9.30 and the best thing was Thatthe hotel was only 2km from the main road and clearly signed. An essential hotel in a great location. Thanks to the staff.

The location was really remarkable. The linen was good clean.

The stuff didn't speak any language except of French. Was really difficult to communicate. The carpets in entire hotel are very old and look dirty.

Great position for an overnight stay. Although close to the main road it was very quiet and had excellent air conditioning. Great breakfast.
