The welcome was so warm and friendly despite my complete lack of Spanish. The lovely lady who welcomed us made every effort to explain everything about the property and room with great patience and humour. Google translate proved helpful and fun! We were offered help with our arrangements for our visit to the Lakes on the following day, an arrangement that made everything so easy and straightforward. Breakfast was perfect for our needs to set us up for a great days hiking. The location, with free parking opposite was fabulous. A path led up through the woods, easily to the Sanctuary and Basilica of Covadonga. We were so pleased that we had chosen both the location and the property itself and would really recommend this for a quiet, friendly stay in this beautiful part of Spain.

We loved everything about it. It felt like a home in the mountains, all the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The service was spectacular, we couldn’t make it in time for the check in the day of our arrival so the host was kind enough to wait for us. When we got to our room we were pleased to see that there had been complementary treats and coffee left for us along with 2 water bottles. The next morning even breakfast was included and the host informed us on some places we could visit around the city.

In the morning, before breakfast, I walked over the road to explore an interesting pathway. A couple of hundred metres along the track and up some stairs was THE most amazing church set into a cave about 50 mteres up in the air inside a cliff. It is alsoa short drive from here to Los Lagos de Covadonga, I went up there early in the morning. It was breathtakingly beautiful. Breakfast was also breathtaking. They were not sure what I wanted for breakfast so they gave me EVERYTHING! Honestly, there was ebough food for 10 or 20 people. Meat, cheese, cakes, bread, yogurt, jelly, fruit, more cake, butter, jam, cereal and really nice coffee in great big cups. I ate a huge breakfast and didn't even make an impression on all the food that was there. Thank you so much.

Loved the location. 200m from the start of the Covadonga lakes' mountain road. Very central to many must-see stunning places. Lots of good restaurants and bars within easy driving distance. Cangas de Onis, the main town in the area, is 7kms away. The room was very comfortable and warm, with a good, hot shower. It was perfect for our 9-day stay. The owner is lovely. She is very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and happy to advise/recommend. We instantly felt very welcome and the excellent continental breakfast set us up for the day. We would not hesitate to return.

Bea and her family are so friendly and welcoming. The property is spotless and the room has everything you might need. They also have a bar and can provide sandwiches , drinks and snacks when you arrive back from your travels. It’s in a great location for the Sanctuary, which is within walking distance, and for the Covadonga Lakes walk. A really lovely property.

A lovely simple little place. We arrived in pouring rain and felt cold, then the owner put the heating on! It’s very close to the Sanctuary and easy for driving up to the lakes in the Picos. Breakfast came a little late but was excellent. An ideal place for walkers.

The shower was a bit cramped and the hairdryer was not warm and there was no shampoo provided.

Bea and her parents care for the place so well. It's impeccably clean and the personal touches around the casa rural are beautiful. Breakfast in the morning is a wide array of delicious foods and beverages. The rooms are cozy, and overall, it's an excellent spot to recharge after a long day of exploring in the Picos or wandering around Covadonga and nearby towns. The location is excellent - directly across from the paved trail that leads straight into the little town and the Sanctuary of Covadonga entrance. You can also easily access the public bus from here either up to the lakes or down to neighboring towns. I highly recommend staying here. It won't disappoint!

Personal attention and hospitality of the staff. It's a family run business where they go out of their way to please their guests. The location is excellent, just below the Covadonga basilica and sacred cave. Free parking and an excellent breakfast.

This is the a quaint hotel nestled against a mountain in an excellent location just below the cathedral. The rooms and facilities are excellent. Breakfast was provided and was also excellent. The owner was very helpful and friendly and made our stay memorable. We had our own vehicle and parking was opposite. We would stay here again in a heartbreat.

We received a lovely welcome from Bea and her family. The room was spotless and very comfortable. There were bottles of water for us and a small fridge in the room. The shower was hot and very welcome after a few days staying in a campervan. The breakfast was plentiful and we had lots of options in a cold buffet. Beautiful treated us to freshly brewed coffee and some delicious homemade walnut cake. A great overnight stop, very close to the church and Chapel at Covadonga and near the bottom of the mountain road that leads to the lakes which are stunning.
