Great service. Mr Lin was fantastic host, and extremely helpful. He went to great lengths to ensure we have everything we need for a very nice stay. Gave very useful advice and tips on access to major tourist sites, which came in very handy. Hotel has very good location and easy access to the Ancient City. Plenty of food options as soon as you come out of the hotel.

Pity it was very cold when we were there, with a couple of nights at 0°C, so the rooms got a bit cold. Not exactly the hotel's fault. But the electric blankets saved the day.

The location of the hotel is excellent with many eateries nearby and the Ancient city is just across the road. Overall we love the cleanliness of the whole place, the bed and the electric blanket was so comfy and we are provided with chinese tea, coffee and lots of water to hydrate ourselves in this cold and dry season. Best of all is the hospitality shown by the staff especially Wang Yi, who was amazing. He gave us good recommendations for restaurants ( he even walked us there ), places to visit and help us arrange for our trip to Lijiang with a stopover in Shaxi and making sure we enjoyed and arrived safely. We would definitely recommend Dali Yanyuan Mountain Retreat to anyone visiting Dali

The staff there has got to be the biggest reason why I will recommend this place. They go beyond their duties to ensure our stay is more than comfortable, always looking out for us (such as when we return much later at night after drinks), giving recommendations to visit and eat, and even walking us to some nearby eateries while having good conversations with us. I also love how the room has sufficient heaters on the bed, in the room and in the toilet to ensure we have a warm stay during the colder nights. Beautiful building, walkable distance to the old town.

Our stay at Dali Yanyuan was fabulous! The location is closed to the south gate of the Dali old town and big market - we timed our visit well enough to enjoy the incredible market activities and street foods. Our inn keeper, nicked name “elephant” was a kind, handsome young fellow who speaks impeccable English. He picked us up at the bus stop and helped with our luggages. He also gave us information and tips for sightseeing. We ended up exchanging lots of local and travel stories :) The property was spacious, quiet and very beautiful. Beds and pillows were very comfortable that we had a good night of rest. Too bad we stayed just one night :( We are looking forward to coming back again soon.

I like everything about the hotel. The room is spacious with everything that you need for. There is a heater, dryer, washing machine. The host borther lim is very proficient in english and very nice to us. Always smile and greet and every morning. Very helpful by providing us a map for Dali town without we ask. Guess what we lost and manage to find our way using the map provided by them!!! It is very useful and thoughful on behalf of the hotel. I had pleasant stay and the hotel exceed my expectation. The location of the hotel is perfect. There is a halal restaurant just behind the hotel (the front row). U can rent ebike just from a shop beside the hotel . Dali ancient town is just 2-3 mins away using ebike. Everything is so convenient. Bonus point the hotel decoration is so esthetic and but they maitain the traditional look. I love everybits about this hotel

Conveniently situated very near the Dali old town, the inn has many amenities nearby, and it is easy for the family to explore the attractions and visit the beautiful Erhai. The inn is well kept and beautifully decorated, equipped with tea and calligraphy corners for their guests. The staff are very nice, approachable and helpful. They recommended good places of interest to visit and nice restaurant for the local crusines. The rooms are very well equipped and comfortable too. My family has enjoyed our 2 night stay and our happy holiday in Dali. We hope to visit again and I will choose this inn again.

It is within walking distance to the Dali Ancient City. Some good restaurants are in close vicinity. There is a street market nearby that sells delicious breakfast. Sheng (sorry may have spelled your name wrong) and Catherine were super friendly and helpful staff and spoke fluent English. Free pick-up service from the train station if you stay 3 nights or more. We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Thank you.

Accommodation's location was good, tucked inside a side lane hence away from the crowd and noise. Reception staff was very helpful and gave good advice on transport options for visiting the various tourist attractions. The room was also cozy with a very comfortable bed. Bottled water was provided every day. One can make use of the washing machine and dryer to wash our laundry with complimentary use of laundry detergent. Highly recommended for one to stay here during your visit to Dali.

The staff is just amazing. You feel like you're staying over at someone's house. Its so comfortable and relaxed. The staff is helping you with anything and everything all the time. It was just great. It was just awesome to find this nice cute hotel. Sooo many restaurants and shops nearby too. Room sizes are just great especially the family rooms with the double and single bed. We had two rooms together and another room booked for our friends who were joining us. We got all three rooms together. We didn't even feel like we had to lock the doors when going out to other rooms.....which we didn't. GREAT JOB GUYS!!! Especially to LEO who took such good care for us throughout our stay. Thank you LEO from me and my whole family. Keep it up. Don't let people question my perfect review which I NEVER gave before in my life 😀

For what they're charging and what they're providing there is nothing to dislike at all.

The location was great, close to ropeway as well as eating places. Yi was absolutely fabulous and went out of his way to help us with every detail to make sure we got to see the attractions of Dali at the best price. Toilets were clean, the room was great, lots of space. There is an ambience of calmness in the courtyard with the pool, planting and heritage like architecture. What clearly stood out was the staff and Yi in particular who made our stay an unforgettable one.
