From the moment we arrived, we knew our time at Hare Nua Hotel was going to be special. We received such a warm welcome when we arrived, complete with a snack, drink and a comfy seating area to wait while waiting for our room to be ready. We enjoyed learning more about the history of the hotel and were pleased to explore the grounds before heading to our room. Rooms: Our family of four had a great space that included a king bed and also a twin trundle bed for the kids. It was spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. The shower had great pressure and hot water, which was welcome after our long days touring the island. Service: We encountered the kindest and most helpful staff during our stay. From the reception desk to the breakfast room to the drive to the airport, everyone was amazing. You couldn't ask for more! Breakfast: Hare Nua really shines in the breakfast department, It was lovely to have a table assigned to and set for our family each morning. The variety of fruits, a sweet, warm bread, fresh yogurt, fresh juice, coffee and made to order eggs help fuel us for the day ahead. Our kids were always so excited to see what delicious food awaited us! It was such a good amount that it fueled us and held us over until after each of our tours was over. Keep up the great work! Location: Hare Nua is in a great spot along the main street. It's easy to get to shops, restaurants, and even to walk towards the water where there are more sights, restaurants and shops awaiting you! Bottom line: Hare Nua Hotel is a special spot that we would not hesitate to recommend or stay again if we were fortunate enough to return to Rapa Nui. Excellent service, accommodations, and the value of the included breakfast make THE BEST place to stay on the island. Māuru-uru! <3

We absolutely loved our stay here ! The staff were so helpful at check in and any other time we needed them. The room was so comfortable and spacious (and the air con was great !), with really good toiletries in the bathroom and a great shower. The location is ideal in easy walking distance to restaurants and shops (although the same is true for most of the island !). Breakfast was absolutely impeccable. It was an added bonus being able to use the hot tub and relax in the garden area. Would definitely recommend !

We loved everything about the accommodation. Everyone was very kind, especially Maria and Patricia, who welcomed us with great care and attention. The breakfast was excellent. You can notice the attention to detail in every little thing. The team is to be congratulated, and we highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Easter Island. It is also important to highlight the great location, right in the center of Rangaroa, allowing easy walking access to the main spots and several restaurants nearby.

This is a family hotel and the people running it are super nice and open to answer all the questions you have and to help in anything you need. We went with the pickup from the airport and they picked us with a flower necklace. When we arrived to the hotel we got a complimentary drink and a typical sweet while they told us the history of the hotel and gave us some information. Afterwards they took us to the room which was clean and beautiful. We had enough space for our two luggages and the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is not buffet but it is great and very abundant. You get some yogurt with cereals, some sweet, bread, eggs in the form you like and something like cheese or ham and also a juice. Everyday is a bit different and it is very tasty. The hotel has a swimming pool, a small garden and a jacuzzi. We didn't use it because it was not very warm. All in all the hotel is super charming and in the town, close to restaurants and shops and only 10min walking to the coast. It was the perfect ending for our trip, we really felt like we were at our grandma's house

The only thing I could say is that the bathroom didn't have hangers for the towels, but just for saying something.

Intimate, comfortable, with a great secluded feel. The staff are absolutely amazing. The name Hare Nua translates to Grandmother’s House, and it feels just like that. Staying here made our visit to Rapa Nui go from a 9 star to an 11. I can’t imagine visiting Rapa Nui and staying anywhere else. It’s been a day since Valerie and I left, and I already miss them. I tried to find something negative to say, since no one believes a review that is completely positive, but I am truly at a loss as to something negative to highlight.

The ladies at reception were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Lots of tips and help with bookings for local experiences. The breakfast was charming, with a variety of treats - fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, jams, fruit juice and you can order eggs. Best part of breakfast were the fresh baked roles - still warm out of thr oven. Room was comfortable and spacious, and bathroom was modern. Our room was along the street so there was some noise from motorized vehicles - for sensitive sleepers I would ask for a room away from the street.

The hotel's location is very central - on the main street with plenty of shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants around and just 10 min walk from the airport. The venue is really beautiful with its own garden that idyllic and has many tropical fruit trees. The room was of decent size, very clean and comfortable with own balcony overlooking the garden. Plenty of common area space to relax with water available everywhere. We also appreciated the "Honesty Bar" where we could get any drinks or snacks on our own and just write down what we took that was billed at the check-out, including the Nespresso coffee. All the staff were very nice and welcoming, we also got the tour and some history of this hotel that was the very first accommodation many summers back. Many guests previously mentioned dogs on the streets and roosters in the morning, they did not bother us at all... after all, this is how the island is! The dogs are everywhere on Rapa Nui, not only on the street of the hotel and they are very friendly and relaxed. The roosters are more or less the same. The communication before the arrival was very useful with good advice and suggestions. The tours we booked with the hotel in advance also were great and had good value. Overall we definitely would recommend this hotel to stay at. The farewell gifts also found nice place in our home.

The breakfast is a la carte and not something we like, but the food was fresh every time, though with limited choice. We would appreciate to have espresso as a choice of coffee for breakfast, but it was not a big deal for us as we could get it from the "Honestly Bar". The kitchen smell in the mornings during the breakfast service could be an issue, but not a huge deal.

Wonderful welcoming staff, including the owner. They gave us a welcome drink and snack while giving us info about our stay. The owner shared the story of the inn and how his grandmother built her home and started boarding visitors decades ago. The staff were very helpful with planning privately guided tours and information about restaurants and shows, even getting us seats at a sold out dance revue. Breakfasts were really beautiful, delicious, and plentiful. Their lovely facility is in a convenient location for walking through town to the ocean, shows, and restaurants. The landscaping, decor and architecture of the inn were beautiful. And the bed was comfortable, which adds to good night's rest so we could enjoy each day fully.

There was street noise from an occasional loud motorcycle at night, but the balcony room with street view (and lush tropical landscaping) was worth it.

It was a beautiful hotel with lots of plants and lovely decorations. The location is unbeatable. It is in the town centre, close to a lot of restaurants and grocers and only a short walk to the coast. We stayed for 4 nights and there were some variations of food at the breakfasts. The staff were superb. Maria and Vania and the hotel team were friendly and helpful. They spoke good English so the communication was smooth.

Most amazing, friendly, helpful, gracious staff. Breakfast was beautiful and filling but fresh and light. The room was large and comfortable. There is an honesty bar in the lobby filled with cold drinks, tea and coffee, and snacks that is available around the clock. The hotel offers great tours of the island; I recommend the full day historical tour of the major sites with Mana. The front desk staff will also recommend the best shows and restaurants on the island.
