Friendly staff with excellent English. Seamless check in, safe parking, nice location right by a Chinese temple. Highlight: five of us took part in a Thai cooking class organised by the staff, and it was a blast, the most fun I've had in a long time. It only cost 100 baht, but it was worth it. During the evening, we chose five different dishes to prepare (out of about 20 options we were offered), diced and sliced and boiled and stir fried, then enjoyed it in a buffet style setting, sharing stories. Loved it! 😊 Would I recommend this hotel to others? Without hesitation. Well 👍 done, keep up the good work!

It was a little warm even at night, even with two fans in the room.

Gorgeous traditional teak house, with a large balcony both upstairs and downstairs. Super clean, and the room was massive! Extra features like clothes rack, table and chairs were nice. The nightly cooking classes were a wonderful experience with some of the best food I've eaten in Thailand .. a wonderful home made taste ! Our host was a wonderful teacher and cook, these classes are incredibly cheap at 100 baht ! Try the local porridge for breakfast .. You'll be missing out on something amazing of you don't! Highly recommended and I would definitely stay again!

Leaving.

Good location & cool teak house. The owner a wonderful young woman Porn does cooking classes where you choose a dish and she helps you make it & then you eat it. Despite being the only person she helped me make a Red Curry & there was enough for 2 meals. She also knows a lot about local Shan food and can cook up lots of specialities not on the menu.

Place to store bags under the beds is a bit awkward to access and the lock didn’t work - needs redesigning. Also the toilet is very close to the room (so avoid smelly ones!)

Gracious old wooden structure with nice features (original windows, polished wooden floors); very spacious room and bathroom ('family room' in fact); comfy bed with a deliciously soft mattress for a change; good hot water supply to the elderly shower. Friendly helpful staff. Food available till 10pm. Free water, tea, instant coffee. Bonfire and free ginger tea at night. Relaxed atmosphere. Car parking on site.

No yoghurt/fresh fruit on breakfast menu. No 'real' coffee available for purchase on menu. (Just things that would make it perfect!)

The host is very kind and the evening cooking dinner is a must! Great way to meet other travelers, learning about the Thai kitchen and of course great dinner. Very affordable. The host gave excellent recommendations about nearby attractions and places to see and visit.

It's a bit noisy during the day and in the afternoon because of the short distance to the road. At night it is OK. The acoustic between the rooms could be better.

Pon was an amazing host. She gave us tips on where to go and what to do. The rooms were clean and had multiple fans to keep you cool. The shared space is really inviting with an open fire area also. Each night there is an option to help cook your dinner with Pon and any other guests. This was so fun, a great way to meet people and you will leave full-bellied! For 80 THB it is silly not to do it. I highly recommend, we did this every night of our stay and it was actually the reason why some of our friends stayed an extra night!

Nothing!!

There was a good vibe at this guesthouse, there were some other bikers who were very nice and the building is really cool. The room itself was pretty good, nothing fancy but quite comfortable and definitely a great option for a night or two.

The floors were a little creaky but that's to be expected with the style of the house.

The community space outside was pretty relaxing and the food and drinks were very good and great valued.

The only thing was that the property didn’t have aircon but I will say it wasn’t bad at all. Plenty of fans were provided and since it’s in the mountains it was cool at night so it wasn’t bad at all.

Great family feel like place. It’s our second visit here and loved it as much as we did the first time. The host (Pon) is fantastic and a great asset to this place. We did a cookery lesson and shared our food with the others and it was a great night.

Nothing. If I had to be picky the floorboards upstairs you can hear. But it never bothered us.

The owner was a sweetheart AND give a lot of good recommandation. The rooms were very clean and spatious. The food was really good, and the cooking with the owner was really great and cheap 80bath. There is a beautiful smile on the owners face when she puts spice and other ingredients in the food. Most people we met in the hostel were very nice, the social area is quite nice.the hotel looks like a old traditional house. We intended to stay three days but we stayed a full week, since we like it so much. It is not a party hostel wich was good for us but it is still very social. Since you probable have a scooter , it Is not far from all the things to see. One of our best experience in Asia.

It really didnot bother us but you need to know these if it's not your things: The rooms are nice but clearly outdated. There were some ants in the bathroom, nothing horrible you can't get rid off.( It's normal the all town is in the middle of the jungle) The wall are quite thin, but social area do not touch the rooms and we never had problems to sleep.
