The kitchen was small but functional. We were able to cook meals in the kitchen as long as we were there on off peak times. The fridge is a little crowded but we were always able to find space for our food. The laundry was very useful and easy to use. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were great. Nice and clean bedding and towel. Not a lot of bathrooms or showers but eventually you could get in. There was always the option of using one on another floor. Other guests are often out for the day so the place is fairly quiet. Great location on a quieter street just off the Main Street. We were able to walk to everything.

It was a little tricky checking in after arriving fairly early in the day. There is a buzzer and someone will eventually come and help you but there is no obvious reception. However, we very much appreciated being able to check in well before the official check in time.

Loved the location, ease of check in, cleanliness, and the front desk staff.

In the studio: the washing machine is inoperable. There was no mirror anywhere (asked and recieved one the next day). No shower curtain. No black out curtain for the bedroom to sleep. The matress on the floor - a simple bed box would be nice for hygenics. The 3 bd hostel- no option to turn down the heater. Window wasnt sufficient to cool down. Only 1 toilet and 1 shower for everyone in the building. Need at least 1 more.

Very good location in the center of the town, so easy to get everywhere. Hotel is on several floors, each having its own small kitchen/rest room and bathroom, so there is some sense of privacy when not many tourists. Rooms are clean but a bit small. WiFi working without problems. Nice views from the window on surrounding mountains.

Parking on the street a bit problematic, as we needed to look for a free place nearby. Staircase is very steep, so dragging suitcase on the second floor was a bit of a challenge. No comfortable wardrobe in the room. Shower in a shared bathroom needs minor repairs.

Great location, free parking, rooms are very nice and clean.

Only one toilet is a serious hindrance. On my stay one of the (italian?) guests decided to take a bath in evening, occupying the bathroom for 90 minutes or more. So if there are 6-7 more people, or more, i would instruct the guests not to take a bath in the tub in such time.

We needed accommodation in Isafjorour at very short notice and were relieved that there was availability at the guesthouse. Although we did not know quite what to expect, we did know that bathroom facilities would be shared. Yes the accommodation is basic, but it is clean and maintained. We were greeted on arrival and helped with our luggage. The use of a kitchen was welcomed to make a cup of tea before leaving in the morning. Not sure why we were surprised, but the bed was comfortable and afforded a good night’s sleep. If you are traveling around Iceland and looking for decent, no fuss accommodation, is a good solution.

Although there is a mirror in the bathroom, one in the bedroom would have been useful

Room was clean and comfortable. We had access to a lounge / kitchen next to our room. Nobody else used it on the two days we were there but with only one table for breakfast it could have been a problem if six or more other rooms on the same floor wished to use it at the same time. Similarly we also got access to the only shower on the floor when we wanted. The use of the washing machine was great as we had already been touring Iceland for two weeks when we arrived here. The location was great for walking round the town.

We were on the top floor which was accessed by steep stairs. This could be a problem for others.

Although the place doesn't look much from the outside the rooms are comfortable, warm and clean I had a studio which had cooking facilities, ensuite and table and chairs. Loved the good block out blinds Location right in the town I stayed 5 nights parking right outside.

Maybe could have done with a wardrobe of sorts only a few hooks to hang things up on.

A heritage building being redone, so far its looking good. We were upstairs, shared bathroom, spacious living area with kitchen..it was down town, near restauraunts and harbour walk. Lovely town to walk around and access sights.

Lots of stairs but it's good exercise! Neat building.

Affordable and excellent location. Beautiful town to visit. Room was small but just fine for my needs, a bed and a small table.

People looking for luxury - not for you. This is very basic lodgings. It was fine for what I was looking for.

Nice private room, good views and central location in town, very close to drop off and pick up for the airport shuttle.

My room was on the first floor and the only one opening directly to the stairwell. More could be done to make it clear that it's the door to someone's room so that other guests aren't talking so loudly at night or trying to open my door when they come to check-in, presumably assuming it's the reception.
