This auberge is right in the middle of the old medieval part of Souillac, it is an old building, full of character. The accommodation is basic but perfectly adequate. The manageress is down-to-earth and efficient but friendly and good for a conversation. The bar has local clientele, the immediate area is full of life, but peaceful at night.

The hotel doesn't have its own parking, one has to find a space in one of the streets close by (not difficult when we were there.)

Hostess was very friendly but unobtrusive. Very quaint but typically french feel to the accommodation. Great location- the property is basically the centre of the town. Lovely ambience .

Nothing really- the property met expectations

Claudine, the owner, is the best thing about the property because she makes it very homey and welcoming gives the property her unique French touch. She took time to welcome me and show me the room. She drew a map of the area so I wouldn’t get lost. The breakfast room is glorious breads, croissants, chocolate croissants,fruits, a huge assortment of jams, cereals,coffee and tea available for snacks as well as breakfast. Your biggest decision every day will be choosing from the hundred or so cups of different shapes, sizes, colors, floral prints, stripes as to which one will make your coffee or tea taste best. Then you have to choose a plate-same story. Absolutely lovely. The hotel has a n outdoor sitting area with area with a small bar that seems to be the local gathering spot in the evenings. I loved listening to the joyful conversations in French with my windows open. Very comfortable room with large long bathtub that I used nightly. I usually prefer shower but could not resist the tub The rooster art on the bedroom walls made me smile every time I walked in. I only stayed two nights and it wasn’t enough. Claudine is interesting person to visit with. She’s been in the are most of her life. There is wide variety of adventure in nature in the area. A grand cup awaits you in Claudine’s breakfast room. in the centre of the little town, really old character building in a picture postcard traditional square. the concierge was very helpful and accommodating (arranged taxis, store bags etc) Loved the bustle of the café which was packed with locals, always a good sign

A beautiful old characterful building in a beautiful location right in the center of the lovely town of Souillac. It could be updated and modernised but that might lose some of the charme. The town is a gem and after booking in at the hotel we enjoyed a walk around it and a meal. The bed was very comfortable. The location, in a small square with narrow streets, is very atmospheric. We would certainly stay again.

We spent 18 years on holidays at a house we owned nearby. Many Sunday meals after church were a great treat at their retaurant. Unfortenately COVID has caused it to be closed for now!!

Time and a return to normal. Anything that frees up travel and makes it easier for businesses to prosper!!!
