We loved our stay in Hotel Dost,all the staff we met were courteous, welcoming and so obliging. Nothing was to much trouble to them. A special mention to New Jersey Boy top man!!! It's a gem of a hotel and please God we will definitely return .

Very friendly and helpful staff, tasty fresh breakfast, clean rooms, good location. We liked everything.

Some neighbours were noisy, but this is not hotel fault.

It’s the only hotel among the dozens I’ve stayed at throughout Turkey which was not contaminated by smoke. Everywhere else I’ve been, though rooms were theoretically non-smoking, the smoke still made its way in my room and it was so unpleasant to permanently breathe contaminated air, also because it’s not just guests smoking but also hotel owners and staff. During the five days I stayed at hotel Dost, I never felt any smoke in my room or on the balcony. Great variety for breakfast, including many vegetarian options. I especially loved the black and green olives prepared by the owner’s grandmother, the delicious pastries (peynirli sigara böreği) made every day by the hotel cooks, and the different preserves, especially the sour cherry one. The hotel is just a two-minute walk to the sea and surrounded by many restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets. While Marmaris is a typical touristy seaside resort, there’re some gorgeous, wild places once you drive half hour outside town. Try hiking through the hills, mountains, and villages nearby: Hisarönü, Turgut, Selimiye, Bozburun, Sögüt, İçmeler, Osmaniye etc. Rocky terrain with such diverse vegetation: shrubs, weeds, herbs, flowers, many which I’ve never seen before. I even found wild thyme and trees full of green almonds! I met a bunch of quadrupeds too: a chunky tortoise, lizards, goats, horses, cats. You may even hear the cries of eagles while climbing...

Everything! Staff were all so friendly, helpful and attentive. It was my birthday when we were there and I came back to a treat and bed made up with rose petals! Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The pool area was clean, bar was available, and we could play our own music when we wanted! It was like our own private villa! We loved it all! We will definitely re book! Thank you to all at Otel Dost!

Having to leave!

The only downside was that Booking.com ad said there was a pool but there isn't one. Not a problem, the beach is only a 5min walk. The Bazaar and many other shops only 5-10 min walk. The staff couldn't have done any more to make our stay better. Breakfast was always fresh and extras only had to be asked for and if was would be made. Efe, receptionist and all rounder, was very friendly and helpful and New Jersey boy (Ucel), can do and will do anything he can to help from carrying your cases to sorting Breakfast. Will definitely stay here again

Nothing to dislike, just a little disappointed there was no pool but that was not down to the hotel but the advertising company

Dost Hotel is the best hotel in Turkey! The hotel manager Efe is the most professional and pleasant manager I have ever met. In addition to the fact that when there were free rooms, he put us in a suite instead of a regular room, he helped me with advice in every question. When our hotel was not on the list of the ordered pickup service, he immediately called and organized everything. Opening a coconut together was an adventure in itself :) Yuksei, however, was an incredibly warm, attentive, service and conversation-ready waiter. The cleaning ladies were also very punctual, the room was clean at 12 o'clock every day, everything down to the smallest detail, and also very kind. My son received a lot of care in particular, he felt very comfortable here. The hotel itself is beautiful inside and out, of course very clean and small, which makes the vacation private and pleasant. The hotel's public area, the dining room, is located under the roof and is very nice, the sofa in the relaxation area was my favorite place to sit and the balcony is awesome! There is not too much noise in the room and the public beach is around the corner, the local supermarket is across the road. When I stay in Marmaris in the future, I plan to do it at the Dost Hotel.

The family run hotel is 10/10. The room was very clean, cleaned everyday.. breaskfast was continental, all eggs was cooked fresh for you when went down. The staff was really nice, very friendly and couldnt do enough for you. The pool area is very nice, a little bar area, and with request theres a speaker to leisten to music. Only a 4 minute walk to the beach and the main area. Would highly recommend

I had one of my most memorable stays in recent months at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Efe, the manager, was incredibly friendly and helped me arrange ferries and taxis with ease. The front desk always had someone available, and the night receptionist, Ur, was both super friendly and hilariously entertaining. Breakfast was a highlight of my mornings, thanks to two kind women who cheerfully prepared eggs or omelets to order. And then there was Uxel, the New Jersey man who was an absolute hoot! His energy, humor, and constant coffee refills brought such life to the mornings. The breakfast spread was fantastic, offering meats, cheeses, cereal, toast, eggs, pancakes, and more. Even in the off-season, the quiet atmosphere was a bonus, making it easy to relax. The hotel’s location is perfect—a short walk to the beach and surrounded by charming shops, including one with authentic Turkish baklava and another offering delicious local food. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, but it was truly the people who made this stay unforgettable. I felt more welcomed here than anywhere else I’ve traveled. I’d return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it!

The only thing I didn’t like was that trips have to end—and reality doesn’t come with room service.

Location and staffs

This was my first time in Marmaris. I chose Hotel Dost based on the reviews. I wasn't disappointed, from the location, which was few minutes walk to the beach, 10 minutes walk to the town (grand bazaar and dancing fountains) and a stretch of eateries, cafes and shops. Most importantly, the staff are amazing. They make you feel home, Yuksel and Efe, who are there during the day, are fun, friendly and will go out their way for you. The night staff are also friendly and attentive. My room was clean, it had a fridge, mini bar (kettle and tea), and a balcony facing the main Road. It also had a safe, tv, and good wifi reception. Being alone, I felt generally safe. Breakfast was good, the nice ladies will make fresh crepes and omelettes. The filtered coffee had a good kick, and I preferred it with milk and their honey sachets. I would certainly return again.
