Small town hotel, basic but large, clean rooms with decent air con. Basic breakfast included but good for me, breads, spreads, juice and coffee. Access to a fridge in the reception was very useful. Staff didn't really speak English, but were still helpful and friendly with my broken French and was able to leave my luggage.

WiFi worked for me, but unreliable/spotty. Bad TV reception and the shower holder in the room was broken.

Breakfast much improved since my last visit just post COVID. Excellent coffee. Free use of fridge and facilities in kitchen if required. Lots of decent eateries and the town bay in easy walking distance. Spacious rooms. Comfortable beds. Good individual room a/c. Kettle in room, no hairdryer but sit on the balcony for 5 minutes and you're dry! Great place to use as a base to explore the marine reserve, or just the magnificent faded beauty of a border railway town.

A/C unit drip-discharged into a drain on the balcony - the drain should have had a sealed cover, which was missing. As a result, there was a constant smell of sewers on the terrace. An easy fix - but only of someone tells the property about it! So I am now! Only 1 free plug in each room - good job I had a mains adaptor so I could plug in camera, phone, laptop, razor etc.

It was extremely clean, spacious, and we had a surprise terrace! Nice breakfast.

The property was great - but walking to the hotel from the train station was a little confusing because although the property is at the train station (on a map right next to), you have to walk way around and go through a very long pedestrian tunnel to get there (and we were not sure if we were going right until we finally got there).

Getting from the railway station to the town, a,nd hgence the hotel is a nightmare, I suppose there are taxis somewhere in this very small town, I didn't see any. You have to walk through a tunnel, roughly carved out of the rock, with staircases and ramps. I'm amazed that the town hasn't sorted out something better. I wouldn't dream of visiting there again.

Good, central location near the train station and the sea; friendly staff; an airy, clean, light and comfortable room; the opportunity to use basic cooking facilities ie microwave and fridge; a pleasant, outside courtyard in which to sit; a lovely breakfast was included in the price.

Loved the room, the view, how clean it was, the lovely tasteful furnishings and bedding, loved the location and the building's architecture and location in the village, loved the friendly and helpful staff.

Not a thing. It was perfect and I'd love to come back in April!l

Nice historic building with simple rooms, everything one needs, located close to the much more expensive Spanish Costa Brava side. Friendly and easy to communicate with. We arrived late and could just pick up the keys. Air conditioning is a real plus in summer. Fridge and microwave accessible in the breakfast room.

There is a fine line between outdated furniture and broken/stained. In a few cases this line was crossed, but I guess considering the very good price it was ok. Only sweet breakfast options, overall a bit limited, but fresh bread and croissant was nice.

Comfortable, clean, great location, breakfast simple but fine. Staff friendly though busy and only there at set times. They sent me all the information to enter the building with a code so I could pick up my keys as I arrived a little after 6pm, when the reception closes. There was an envelope with the key to my room and that's it. Easy! Shower wonderful. Very basic soap and shampoo sachets. Spacious room. A/C. Parking just outside in the public area. I don't know if it's easy to find a spot in high season. Near the train station. Would definitely return without hesitation. Everything excellent.

Nothing! Just to note - there is no internet or wifi. I didn't realise but then did see this on their Booking.com profile. I just missed it.

Good location in the centre of town walking distance from the train station, warm and clean rooms (with extra blankets provided when we asked 🙂), just what we needed for our short break in Cerbere.

Friendly staff, check-in out of hours option, left luggage option. Simple (Dated) but very clean bedroom.

Just the shower head holder was broken so had to hold the shower - very european!
