Our host went out of his way to make us comfortable after our long journey, laying a dinnertable so we could enjoy dinner in his home - we'd bought a lasagne and salad that he prepared and served with thoughtful additions including homemade vinegarette. Very comfortable room, quiet too. And a delicious breakfast with homemade jams. Highly recommended. The town was beautiful, clearly medieval, clean streets, friendly atmosphere. The hotel was excellent. The owner & staff were delightful, extremely welcoming, not over the top fake, but genuinely friendly. There was a lounge area where you could relax and a range of books to chill and read. The room was great. Quiet, clean, comfortable, spacious- everything you want in a hotel after a long day of driving. Big shower and full size towels, creamy and well foaming shower gel / shampoo. The decor and detail was just right and they had a pot of sweets! We had a very good night's sleep in a comfortable bed, with a comfortable pillow. Breakfast was fantastic. Already laid out ready for you. Big cups of tea or coffee, fresh fruit salad, delicious croissant, fresh, crunchy bread with homemade selection of jams. It was perfect. We really enjoyed our stay and if we're ever in the area again, we would stay there. A really great little gem.

There wasn't anything. The hotel was great, the staff were lovely, the food was delicious, what's not to like.

The owners of this property are some of the most kind people I have ever met. I booked last minute as a result of a miscalculation on my part and was met with exceptional hospitality. The bed was very comfortable and I had a large updated room to myself. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone passing through.

Very friendly welcoming host. Made us feel so welcome and spoke in English for us which was very kind of them. The breakfast was great too. Easy to walk to a good place to eat in what seemed a very friendly village.

Nice location in the old town. Laurent was very helpful and friendly but not intrusive. Very comfortable air conditioned room. Breakfast was beautifully presented. Our motorcycles were garaged in the host's workshop.

The steep narrow stairs to the second floor although Laurent assisted with the bags.

Fabulous and interesting place to stay with so much space to ourselves and made so welcome. Loved and the attention to detail in vintage styling, host made us so welcome allowing us to enjoy the books on offer to read. Rooms lovely and comfortable and clean.

Being British would loved tea making equipment, we drink a lot of this at all times of the day lol

Wonderful breakfast of freshly baked croissants from a local bakery, and delicious assortment of jams, along with butter, juice, and coffee. Friendly and accommodating host. Beautiful small town to explore :)

A really charming place with amazing arty interior. Spacious room with a fantastic view over the roofs and the hills of Marcillac (we had the room for three on the topp floor), fresh and newly refurbished. The host was very nice and helpfull - and the continental breakfast (which is included in the price) was beautifully set up for us on our own table in the diningroom and with Piazolla playing in the background... If you are looking for a bit out of the ordinary, this is the place!
