I was visiting Scicli for an orchestral course and found this gem of a place to stay. Everything about it was absolutely perfect. I stayed in Papyrus, a three storey "house", which was spacious and comfortable. The air-con was really effective and so essential on some scorching Sicilian days. I loved the quirky setup of the accommodation, with the various gardens and terraces offering splendid views over Scicli. The location was very central, and yes, about 60 steps up (or a fairly steep hill), but that justified consuming all the Cannoli and other sweet delights on offer in this charming town. I loved the beautiful pool and made good use of this during my 9 night stay. Best of all for my stay was Alessia, the manager. Wow! What a totally fabulous lady she is. Could not do enough to help me: arranging things, such as booking tables at restaurants and sharing information and advice. She was wonderful!! I'm sad to have left, as I felt so at home, but I'm certain I will be back. A wonderful stay, highly recommended.

The hotel is in a central location just off the main square. Our terrasse had the most beautiful view of the old town. Scicly is not very touristy, yet within easy reach of Ragusa, Modica, Noto and Syracuse. There are some fantastic restaurants in the town and several great beaches are also close-by. We found it the perfect place to stay.

The property is perched up on this beautiful hill overlooking the city. It has a beautiful rooftop garden with a pool with amazing views. The accommodation is so cute and practical and the staff is simply amazing and attentive. We came with 2 kids and just had the best time! Highly recommend it! The communication was excellent throughout the stay

Everything was good, just be prepared to walk some stairs to get there but it’s worth it

Great unique location in the heart of old city – quiet, beautiful. Very spacious rooms + kitchen and a garden with a fantastic view! Great, helpful and friendly host, who carry about your every need. A lot of restaurants/café around – 15 min to the sea by car. Also, there is a swimming pool, but we prefer the sea.:)

It will take some physical to get to the hotel - 3 min, but the stairs are pretty vertical :) most parking around is not free

Such a unique place to stay, one of our all-time favourites. This a historic palazzo, rennovated with amazing taste, care and style. U feel immersed into history and to live in a fairytale. Super friendly team and always cheerful Alessia is a star. Her support went well beyond the expected in difficulties connected to our arrival due to airport closure. Loved the fact that the pool was accessible 24/7 and that the room in a cave was so unique and super fresh even when it was 44 degrees outside. Certainly coming back very, very soon for a longer stay!

To reach the perfection, I'd be nice to have the bar next to the pool functional at least in the afternoon, or put up an "honesty bar" with some prosecco, wine, beer and soft drinks to enjoy the incredible location to the fullest. Also some new loungers and more comfortable garden furniture would be awesome as noticed by other rewiews, but this is really the only area of Hedone that is not pure perfection.

This is a hotel you need to experience if you are in the area. The staff was very serviceminded and did everything in their power to make our stay as comfortable as possible. This made the stay much better than expected. The rooms were nice and uniqe and the bathrooms were modern in standard. I would defently recomend staying here.

The hotel is one a hill over the town, so you need to be able to walk a pretty steep hill every day if you stay here. The hotel itself contain quite a few stars so its not a hotel for people in really bad shape or that have truble walking.

The property is stunning, attention to every detail the rooftop garden and pool offer views across the town which is fabulous at golden hour. Apartment cute and lovely and cool Jenifer and Yan and the cleaner were just fabulous!

Superb restoration and development created from a collection of linked properties. Beautifully fitted out with quirky pieces of furniture in rooms created from caves in some cases. The garden was great for some sunbathing and the plunge pool good for cooling down; the 'indoor' lap pool was a bonus for a swim. Staff were lovely and very helpful when we had mislaid a bag on our journey. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Access to the hotel with luggage involves a piaggio ape up a very steep narrow street - great fun! Very centrally situated in the old part of Scicli, ideal for joining la passegiatta in the evening.

Bed and pillows could have been more comfortable. The number of steps involved in reaching the hotel and moving around it could be a challenge for people with mobility issues but they added to the character of the hotel. And made sure we reached our daily step target!

This hotel has a stunning location overlooking the beautiful, vibrant town of Scicli. The rooms are really spacious, and ours was built right into the cliff face, so the bathroom was like a cave which was fun. The staff are super helpful, from picking us up in a tuk tuk from the station so we didn't have to navigate the steps with our luggage, to some excellent restaurant recommendations and helping us arrange taxis. We loved the relaxed vibe and unique design of the hotel, which is almost like a mini village, and chilling by the pool with those fantastic views was the perfect way to spend hot afternoons.

Just be aware that its a bit of a climb from the town to the hotel. It didn't bother us, but might if you had mobility issues. Also the outside pool is on the small side - fine for cooling off, or there's an inside one if you want more of a swim

A beautiful property in a beautiful city. The hotel surroundings are fantastic. We arrived without our luggage and the hotel manager went far above and beyond what anyone could expect to support and assist us. We were very comfortable and enjoyed every minute.

It is fair to point out that there are a lot of quite steep steps in and around the hotel. This didn't affect us at all, but might be worth bearing in mind if you have any mobility issues.
