The service was outstanding. We were greeted SO warmly by Manuel and the team, we felt very looked after. Breakfast was brilliant. The location is stunning, so tranquil, and the pool area was clean and nicely equipped with Bali style beds and sunbeds. We were staying in the main house and the room and ensuite was traditional but lovely - so spacious and with lots of thoughtful touches like fruit and wine. Portions and service at dinner were great!

The sauna and steam rooms were not on during spa hours- and there was no instruction on how to turnthem on or whether you need to ask in advance for this (reception desk is in a different building). These were big draws for us booking the place so I was disappointed by this. The indoor pool is definitely warmer than the unheated outdoor pool (which was too cold to swim in, in October), however, it's not warm enough to sit in and enjoy the hot-tub style jets at one end. We had half-board, and whilst breakfast was a delight, dinner was very old-fashioned and formal. I've definitely had tradtional food served in a modern way- so would love to see that.

The location is gorgeous, offering us complete peace and comfort through our 5 night stay. The quality of the food was exceptional and all great value for money; the wine even more-so. From our arrival we immediately felt the calm, contented spa holiday feeling and still feel it slightly now having left yesterday. Will definitely be recommending L’Hermitage to friends and family as a minimalist luxury holiday with amazingly accommodating and friendly staff.

The fitness centre is lacking with only a treadmill, two stationary bikes and a mat - we are an active couple and would enjoy a good gym with resistance machines/free weights however after we got into total relaxation mode, our bodies didn’t complain over a few days off.

The hotel is extremely comfortable, the staff are helpful and unobtrusive, the rooms are spacious, and there’s a true sense of zen throughout the place. Ideal for relaxation. Pool beautiful. Great money value.

For me, the accommodation was a bit too far from any beach or town (50 minutes to the beach, 35 minutes to the city Palma by car), but I don’t necessarily see that as a bad thing if you’re looking for a real break from the typical Palma experience. Breakfast has everything you need — it may lack a bit of creativity, but there’s no chance you’ll go hungry

I fell in love with L’Hermitage, and will try to come back many more years. It is a gem of the world. The staff is filled with heart and love. The owners are dedicated and caring too. Over the past year, I kept coming back to this hotel, because of its unique modern yet traditional ambiance, beautiful setting, and sincere hospitality. I spent close to 5 weeks all in all, and while it felt more like a castle/fine hotel, it also has a creative energy and spirit, reminding guests of its former monastery days. We loved the fruit orchards, the breakfasts, the hammam, the outdoor pool, and the easy access to walking trails, providing some of the best hikes I’ve ever taken in my life. And the dinners - were the best meals I’ve had at a hotel, ever. We get to travel around the world leading programs for CEOs and professionals, experiencing amazing places… and I’m not proud to say, im usually too busy to leave a review. L’Hermitage is special though. Thank you to all the staff Juan, Angel, Andrés, Antonia y Antonia, Manuel, y all the caring staff taking care of the property. You touched my heart.

this hotel was absolutely beautiful. it was an extremely comfortable and luxurious experience. I loved the history of the building. and the staff did a great job explaining that to me and they were also very attentive to my allergies when dining. The room felt very authentic. so the entire property is extremely peaceful and quiet and really allows you to immerse yourself in nature. I also liked how it felt. I was stepping back in time and really embracing the Spanish countryside.

The only downside was it was so big, it was a bit difficult I was traveling around the area I didn’t spend much time there and I wasn’t able to see all the facilities such as the indoor pool. also, I drove there since I rented a car and the roads were a bit scary. I didn’t do anything because I wanted to make sure I got back to the property before dark to avoid the winding roads, which did not have street lights.

Location outside Orient is like being in a hidden valley, very romantic. Staff were helpful and responsive. Rooms were a nice mix of minimalist white chic and rustic finca and we had a small private terrace. Breakfasts were great outside on the terrace and the pool area is lovely. The spa is a nice addition too.

The shower isn't great with low pressure. The gym wasn't really a gym as in only a treadmill, and 2 stationery bikes. It would have been good to have a bench, yoga mat and a set of dumbells.

Rooms are spacious and comfy, very clean, and designed with great taste. I liked the remote location and especially the view from the terrace to the mountains. The whole area was filled with flowers and all kinds of bushes and trees, which made every corner a perfect spot for a photoshoot. The breakfast was superb. Very rich and fresh, you got everything. Located in the old olive oil factory room, made it even more tasteful. And if you are too tired to find some restaurant for dinner, L'Ermitage has its own a la carte restaurant. I would have added more finesse to the menu and the plating, to make it an even better experience, otherwise dinner menu was a bit too casual and homey. I would definitely come back to the hotel next time. My wife was even sad when we left L'Ermitage and arrived to our next 5* hotel. She was sad because L'Ermitage was much better :) I think this place is a perfect spot for weddings and romantic events. Also a dream come true for any Instagrammer.

The remote location was great, but it also was a bit inconvenient :) because driving to different sights took a long time because of the slow mountain roads. But staying at the hotel for only 3 nights made it bearable.

The location is amazing, being in between montains. It is very quiet and one can listen to nature. The breakfast was delicious and staff was very friendly. We liked the pools and the opportunity to have breakfast and dinner in the same place if wanted to.

There was not much we did not like. It would have been nice if the coffee capsuls and the water was replaced, but we were going to buy own anyway, so not a problem.

The location is incredible, nestled in the hills with amazing views of the mountains. Even though the road is close by, the hotel and pool were very quiet and peaceful. We stayed in one of the junior suites and the room was amazing - very modern, clean and exceptionally decorated, with a beautiful view. We had dinner at the restaurant, and the food was delicious. But the most amazing thing about the hotel was the staff - so helpful, kind, accommodating and friendly. We were made to feel very special and it was a lovely stay at the hotel.

Nothing, apart from the fact we had to leave!

great remote location, beautiful outdoor area, very close to great hikes, super breakfast and friendly and helpful staff, who go above and beyond to help you make your stay perfect. The pool area and the indoors pool/ spa is super cozy and looks clean and new. The rooms we got (we were able to change to a room with a view, which was more quiet, more updated and bigger). the room in the main house is a bit noisy, because the door is facing towards the reception area. The room here was also more original looking, so really great we got to do the upgrade! Breakfast buffet had everything you needed, just the scrambled eggs were super weird. Possibility to get sandwiches for lunch was also nice, because there is not much in the area and the nearest bigger city is far away. We had dinner at the hotel several times due to its remote location and we didn't want to drive the mountain roads in the dark. The dinner options were fine, but I recommend to take 2 starters rather than the main dishes, which were overpriced for the quality. the quality and price of the starters were defo more value for money. The staff helped us not only to change to a nicer room, but we got recommended good hiking routes in the area (must so the Rateta mountain peak... but only if you are in good shape...)

The menu in the restaurant could be more modern and upgraded, rather keep a smaller menu with better quality dishes instead of a big menu which is impossible to master. The main dishes were not cooked perfectly. Meat was overcooked or flavourless and paired together with so many veggies which did not belong together... including pickled ginger...? I recommend taking 2 starters instead, they were better value for money. Good prices for bottles of wine and bubbles though ;)
