We turned up on a Sunday night. It is not normal to start a stay on Sunday, however our host was very gracious and facilitated us with great willigness. This is a jewel of a traditional hotel, and we had a beautiful room waking uo to peels of church bells in the morning, and our window looked out on this ancient church. Beautiful, "classy" and most comfortable with big beds.We slept very well before a day with some big decisions to make. Excellent.

The location is central, the beds were the best I've ever slept in at a hotel! The double glazing is brilliant as it is in the centre of the town there are restaurants and bars and when we were there a 19th-century merry-go-round. We liked the hubbub of the tourists enjoying life, but if you shut the window you can barely hear anything. Staff are lovely and helpful and breakfast was as expected. Croissants, coffee, etc. The shower is easy to understand and hot water is plentiful. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom and a tv in the room.

Nothing really, we were advised to book restaurants for lunch and dinner, and it was great advice as everything gets booked up very quickly. The bonus of the location is a negative in terms of parking. There is very little parking close to the hotel, you can drop off cases etc and there is parking at the old port or near the campsite.

A quiet ,spacious and carefully decorated room with a very comfortable bed and a lovely view over the square. Breakfast was a good price being plentiful with good bread and croissants plus fruit etc ,and freshly made coffee which isn’t always the case with a continental breakfast. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful.

My husband(chief bag carrier) complained about the distance to the room. However, the receptionist offered to help carry our stuff ( without prompting). Parking is readily available free of charge but a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Excellent location, exceptionally clean

As above superb location and fantastic staff. Breakfast was a little disappointing- would’ve been 100% if there was a choice of bread/croissants (full size not ‘minis’) for you to choose your own from the buffet table, not in a basket on your table. Also, our room had a shower over the bath but the head wasn’t attached to the wall so you couldn’t stand up to have a shower you had to hold the head with one hand whilst washing with the other, not an ideal situation.

Lovely charming old fashioned little hotel.

It’s right in the centre of La Roche Bernard in a cobbled square but still quiet. As a family of adults we had 2 large rooms, both with very comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Lovely fresh bread and croissants for breakfast.

The only negative was that parking really close to the hotel was limited and we sometimes had to park a bit further away. Didn’t detract from our enjoyment of our stay ‘though. “Magots” translates to “Monkeys “!!

It’s in a super convent location and the rooms are all really nice and tidy!!

Due the age of the property sometimes you could hear people in rooms on other floors
