This is a beautiful 16th century chateau. Not only can you stay in the chateau itself but there are other properties in the grounds you can stay in too. Our room was decorated and cleaned to a high standard. The room has air conditioning which also generates heat into the room if required. The host was so welcoming and created a very relaxed and trusting atmosphere. The breakfast buffet was immense with eggs, bread, cheese, ham, croissants etc. The breakfast room was full of character and atmosphere. To top it all there is also a swimming pool with sun loungers for residents use.

Greenery. It felt like we visited fairy tale house. It felt like home . The garden is so beautiful. Trees around the hotel are so big and so old. Space for breakfast inside and outside is so calming and welcoming. Very Special place with a lot of magic!!! We will come back 💕🩷🌷

We understand how complicated it is to keep space this big in perfect shape with all the details taken care of. We liked the balance that the owners make to make this hotel run. Price totally justified.

La Gabetiere This a lovely place with a lovely hostess. She is very attentive and kind to her guests, including the four legged ones. It’s a great experience to stay in such a historical house. So many nice features to look at and enjoy. There is a nice terrace and beautiful garden with plenty of possibilities to sit and enjoy. We went to a lovely Italian restaurant just a 5 minute drive up the road.

Beautiful old chateaux, bursting with character and charm. Not your run-of-the-mill, chain hotel. Extremely friendly, helpful owner, with a good sense of humour.

Nothing — but because of the age of the property and the spiral staircases, I’m not sure how accessible it would be for people with disabilities.

We were greeted very warmly by Nicole, La patronne. She explained clearly about the swimming pool, availability of swimming towels, the honour bar, the possibility to ask her to order in pizzas (as they do not have a restaurant), but frankly stated that mosquitoes were very active in the evenings and she advised us to eat in town, Vienne, nearby, for which she made us a reservation. (Le Glacier was excellent). Breakfast was very good the following morning. It was a pleasant surprise to find air con in our rooms. We happily recommend this hotel and will return.

Nothing really But it may be good to note that bringing a car during your stay would be practical (since public transportation in the area is a bit limited)

Lovely older mansion and a treat to be able to stay there. We were given a lovely room overlooking the pool. Host was very friendly

Room was tight but suitable for 2. More storage or hooks would have been great

Super friendly hosts, we stayed as a family of 5. Lots for the kids to do, location was great to explore Vienne. A really relaxed and peaceful stay. Will definitely be returning.

Super 16th Century property lovely welcoming feel, plenty of space and seating areas in the public areas for all to use.

Great property with lots of character. Lovely breakfast! Didn’t really get chance to use the facilities, pool etc. We had pizza delivered rather than venturing out after a long drive.
