I booked a room with the shared bathroom – I don’t have a problem with that, and I appreciate being able to pay a little less. There’s also a shared kitchen and lounge. The kitchen is well equipped and provided with basic condiments. Place is very clean, recently painted, and well painted in pleasing colors and careful work. Bed was comfortable and staff was helpful. Highly recommend. Newfoundland is very beautiful, but it is an expensivePlace to travel and I appreciated this place.

No problems

We had an excellent stay there . The staff were wonderful and understanding regarding my partner who has dementia. The restaurant downstairs had great food and we enjoyed the location right across from the grocery store. We also had my sister with us, who was a little overwhelmed with the stairs, but made herself at home in living room for most of the week. We went on a couple of adventures in the area and visited the relatives and really enjoyed our stay. Everything was 5 star as far as we were concerned. Thank you again. Brenda, Carol and Dennis.

Just the hike up the stairs and the small parking area were the only concerns. The big puddle at the back of the building was quite the challenge. Other than that no problems.

This place is not for everyone but it scores very high with us. It is scrupulously clean. The room was quite small but adequate. The shared kitchen has excellent facilities for meal preparation. The showers are down the hall but clean and completely adequate. There was only one other guest while we were there in November so it was like having the place to ourselves. We enjoyed breakfast in the common room dining area and it was very pleasant. We watched a movie on our computer in the lounge and were very comfortable. The staff, both in the restaurant below and the cleaning staff were helpful and cheerful.

The sign had burned out on the outside sign so it was difficult to find at night in the rain.

I was hesitant to book a hostel but the Exploits Inn blew me away. The facility was so clean and pristine. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They took us up to our room, showed us around. There is a full kitchen with anything you would ever need. A welcoming living space and a huge dining area. You can even throw in a load of wash if you need to at extra cost of course. We were travelling with carry on luggage so having a laundry facility was a huge bonus and surprise. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat. The value I feel we got for the cost was exceptional. Overall a 10/10 experience.

The only thing I would change is new mattresses for the beds. It wasn’t the most comfortable sleep but by far not my worse.

The Inn was set up really well, the lounge area and kitchen were incredibly helpful to prepare us for our journeys. The room was spacious with a large bed and bathroom. Also the staff were very kind and helpful. It was a great value stay!

Unfortunately it was a bit noisy with music playing in through the room on both nights.

We were a little unsure while booking but went ahead anyway. We were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the unit. It was very deceiving from the outside looking in. We were surprised to see a large kitchen and common room and happy to see laundry facilities as were travelling on motorcycles. Staff were happy and very helpful. The food was great as well. They have great neighbours as the Foodland across the street allowed us to park our bikes in their camera secured lot! We really appreciated it! Botwood is a bit of a Heiden gem, we checked out the seaplane base and many murals. We also met a couple of local motorcycle enthusiasts, they were great! All in all it was terrific!

Staff were welcoming. The location was in close proximity to other tourist sites which was great. The price was unbeatable

I realized the rooms did not have air conditioning. An electric fan was how provided in the room. An air-condition system would have been preferred. However, given the price I guess this is Okay

It was centrally located, quiet, good parking, room was a great size, beds were very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Absolutely nothing, except the signage which was small. A large delivery truck was parked in front of the building which obscured the small sign. We drove past it several times before we found it.

The room and shared bathroom were clean and comfortable. Large kitchen and dining room were superb. The rooms are above a local branch of the Donnini's Restaurant chain. It, too, is fabulous. The place is on the waterfront, so views of the bay are the first thing one sees, out the door.

Television is not synced to remote, but that was a minor issue.

The staff were very helpful and used great communication to let us in. The kitchen and living room was fantastic, thank you for having good facilities. Clean and inviting. GREAT having grocery store across the street and wonderful cafe below.

The AC needs a bit of tweeking in room 6, easy fix, just a note.
