We loved Tawan Resort! Located on the beautiful Thung Wua Laen Beach, Tawan is nestled in nature, set on a quiet, well cared property. Our room (#706) was basic, but more than ok for the price range and our needs. The room was spacious, super clean and well presented. Beds, pillows and linen were clean, comfortable. Bathroom was clean and in working order. AC worked well. The room was standard, nothing fancy, but everything you need. The vibe here is what’s special. The staff are warm and welcoming, helpful and attentive. The setting was beachfront jungle perfect. And the beach is at your doorstep! Good restaurants, cafes, markets nearby too.

Everything was fine.

Staff is always friendly and extremely helpful; they really were the ones who made the stay so pleasant the whole time. Breakfast was not available but there are several breakfast options at the restaurants all along the beach side road so there is no need to stay hungry. Towels and bed linen are clean, and staff will swiftly help with clean up when such is requested.

There were constantly mosquitos in my room but whenever you ask reception for room cleaning, the staff would spray a bit, so this needed to be done every other day. The internet connection was quite weak in the side buildings but very good in the main building where reception is.

Spent a whole week here one month ago and wrote in my review "I can't wait to go back". I did go back and loved it again. Get a good coffee from Volk Cafee in the morning, take a swim in the ocean 50 meters from your front door, have a nice drive on your motorbike through lovely backlands, have a good dinner next door at Le Betole, walk on the lovely moonlighted beach and end the day sitting on the porch before falling asleep on your comfy bed.

Nothing here. They even supplied better chairs for us.

The owner was extremely helpful and very kind. She even took us to the nearest 7/11 store to get some food and stuff. As we did not have transport. We were extremely grateful. The beach is right at your doorstep. And the views out to sea are incredible. (Especially if the weather is good). They have some great restaurants very nearby too.

It can be a little noisy at times, as the walls are very thin. But again, a mention to the owner. At it was sorted. 😁

This resort is a gem . A bit off the beaten path it is clean quiet and the ocean is right in front of the resort, with a long beach. The best part about Tawan is the OWNER & STAFF. Mink is amazing and will help you with just about anything, from bug bite remedies to hiring a car . She gave me a family contact for my next destination who was just as wonderful and very helpful. I highly recommend this resort.

A nice little hotel. I have stayed here in the past when passing through. The staff are quite nice and helpful, the rooms are clean and tidy. The beach is just across the road in front of the hotel, and there are options for food nearby. It is nice to be able to park my car right outside the room. Good wifi, the plumbing was functional.

Not the fault of the hotel, but I was unable to sit outside because of so many mosquitoes, flies, and midges. A shame because it's a nice place for breakfast.

Simple, but nice place 20 minutes from the airport. Although there are no rooms directly on the beach, it's 1 minute walk. The beach is beautiful and there are restaurants in the neighborhood. The room is simple, but clean. Hard to get Grab, so transport needs to be organized via the reception. Good option for a night's layover between flight and ferry to Ko Tao

Couldn't imagine a better place to stay. Great location, great staff. No restaurant, but Le Betole next door is really good. In the morning the stylish little coffeeshop VolCoffee, built in an old Volkswagen, serves real good espresso and cappuccino.

It could use some more comfortable chairs.

Spacious, quiet but right on the sand, large rooms and patios to relax in surrounded by a peaceful garden. Beach at the end of the driveway. Quiet, secluded area near enough to bars and restaurants- everything walkable.

Truly nothing, it was totally pleasant.

Great location facing the beautiful beach. Basic rooms but excellent value for money, clean and very convenient. No breakfast option but close to bars for food ( Pirates bar for breakfast 200 metres down the beach ). Very friendly staff and excellent shaded parking spot. No complaints at all for the value!
