I like the rooms, it was really clean, the breakfast buffet was lovely. The dinner when it was buffet was excellent. The pool was clean, the beach really nice with the palm trees. The staff were really nice.

I didn't like the a la carte menu, on our last night I even couldn't eat my dinner it was a lamb full of bones and grease, it was really disappointing, because when you pay for a service, you expect to receive it. Also on the first night of our stay, the a la carte menu wasn't child friendly, and I told the staff, but nobody told me that there was a child menu, I knew of it only on the last night of our stay, as I was with my 7 and 10 year old. Overall, it was a good stay.

From the welcoming until leaving the hotel, it felt like a true relaxing moment staying in Royam. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the life music at the beach and at the dinner. The food (dinner and breakfast) was amazing, the hotel area felt like a dream. It was convenient to ask for additional facilities at the reception desk (e.g. ping pong rackets and ball) and even after our check out we were allowed to enjoy the facilities until we needed to take our taxi back to Dakar. It is nice that the hotel has wellness facilities for a convenient additional price (not too expensive) - where we enjoyed a deep tissue massage (the ladies are so skilled!) And also the souvenir shop was not too expensive (compared to other hotels or shops). The hotel beach area was super clean, and it is a surplus that during the evening (when we went for looking at the starts) the guarding staff was still present (although we felt generally safe in Saly).

We liked everything and were very happy that the staff (e.g. bar) tried to achieve our expectations. For example my husband requested a cocktail which was a little too sour, but the second time with some additional remarks from his side the same cocktail was 100% his taste! Maybe small remark: the hotel has super nice 'wooden' trashbins near the rooms - which avoids littering around the place (as the hotel area was super clean, also in the common areas like toilettes). But it felt that they were not emptied quiet often (e.g. empty waterbottles and cigarette buts from our neighbours were there during the early evening and stayed there until noon). So an additional 'garbage round' would be helpful.

I can only echo the positive reviews on this site- the hotel is beautiful, well set-up for a large number of guests without feeling overcrowded. The rooms are very comfortable and the bedding is great, which is not always the case in the hotels on the Petite Cote. The beach in Saly is really awesome, clean and it's easy to swim thanks to the bay. I booked half board and it's worth the money- not the best food in Saly but very good nonetheless.

I dont think the hotel hires enough staff at a time to cater for the large number of clients. Thats too bad especially as all staff are super nice and seem committed.

The attention of the staff and the multiple seeing amenities. Good choice of restaurants and great service. Drinks were really nice too.

I think they should have another pool since the one they have can get full very quickly. Also, there was some misunderstanding about the brunch offered on Sunday. We thought that it replaced breakfast since we booked half board, but it was not included. I appreciate how the staff resolved it though so I have no criticism. Maybe a disclaimer saying it's extra could make it clearer to guests.

We had such a great time at this hotel, absolutely recommend!! The staff is very nice, the ammenities are great, the beach is beautiful and clean. And the fact that when we were staying there we were invited to attend a diner to celebrate the staff made us realize the importance of the hotel for the local community. Also loved the food, very well prepared and the diner menus are always different and very tasty.

Just some constructive criticism: - the breakfast could be improved: have more choices and a menu informing all the available dishes by request. - inform the guest better about all the amazing things the hotel has to offer, like pilates class and other events.

Nice comfortable room set in lovely grounds.

The food option (half board for our stay) was great on Friday and Saturday evenings, an interesting buffet for starters and desserts.Main courses could be chosen from several freshly cooked choices. On Sunday and Monday nights, we were offered a fixed menu with limited choices. What started well did not end well. I would avoid this property on Sunday or Monday, it was like a different hotel.

Outstanding experience. A top-notch destination for seaside and poolside relaxation. Is there a better spot on the beach in Saly? Pool, room, and buffets all highlights. When we arrived, my friend and I were told that the hotel was overbooked, but staff were doing their best to accommodate us; while we ended up sharing a comfortably ample two-bedroom suite, the room itself and our late checkout were provided free of charge as a gesture of goodwill for the overbooking. That's a heck of a gesture, and made quite the impact. We'll be back.

Beautiful location right on the beach. Exceptionally clean environment. Room was very comfortable. Food good with a great choice even for the fussiest of eaters. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Good value for the money

Staff at the beach restaurant could have been more attentive. Cold dinner plates only available in the restaurant. Rooms where quite dark. Cold water in shower and TV remote faulty ( my mistake for not complaining).

This hotel made us feel comfortable and safe in a clean and well-maintained environment. We even lost our son's sunglasses at the beach, and a kind gentleman informed us that the beach security had kept them safe for us—such thoughtful service! I highly recommend the private beach with its dedicated guard, the delicious food, and the beautiful hotel itself. If we have the chance, we’d love to come back for our next holiday.

On our way to this hotel we were involved in a car accident in which we were injured. My husband stayed at the scene of the accident and I took a taxi to the hotel with our luggage. Arrived late somewhat dishevelled and in pain I found the receptionist to be very understanding and he quickly directed me to a room and offered assistance. The hotel is clean, comfortable and in a lovely setting and we found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating We have already decided that we would like to return to this hotel in the future to properly enjoy the environment and its facilities

We had booked a sea view room but we were allocated a garden view room. However Owing to our exceptional circumstances we did not complain about this as on arrival we just needed a place to recover from the accident.
