The hotel is a gem! We received an outstanding service. Their staff is friendly and professional. The family room had everything we needed for a pleasant stay from comfortable beds and 3 sets of different sizes and softness pillows to filter coffee and 2 ply toilet paper:) The room was clean, the beddings and towels were white and smelled heavenly. We had a lovely dinner at their restaurant ( white table cloth restaurant !!!). I highly recommend to taste their divine lamb curry and chocolate brownie! They make firewood pizzas which was very convenient for my family with children. A perfect memorable stopover between Windhoek and Cape Town !

Very friendly, helpful & considerate staff. Really appreciate that they moved us to a different room as there was a loud event near the room that was booked. Provided for all our requests.

We had booked a self-catering family room with braai area and had planned our dinner accordingly. We were only informed that we had been moved to a family room on arrival (the move was appreciated), but this resulted in having to walk to and from reception to arrange braai grids etc. to use at the common braai area. Some fore planning in this regard would have made our stay a bit easier.

We couldn't find anything to dislike about Okiep Country Hotel; everything exceeded our expectations. The overall experience was fantastic and amazing. Without a doubt, we will be booking our stay here again the next time we visit town. The exceptional people, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere make this a top choice for accommodation.

Loved the rooms, it was clean and neat. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Definitely visiting again. The food was amazing too.!

The main road. At night the sound travelled and did not sleep well, but not because of the self catering rooms. The speed in that road also was of concern. Other than that. It was perfect for the weekend wedding at the hotel. We made use of the self catering opposite the main reception.

Professional and friendly staff. The manager Alan was very helpful and informative about the area and sightseeing options. Food was excellently prepared and delicious. It is a wonderful stopover for a family with children. This hotel is a gem in the middle of nowhere! The museum attached to the hotel was also very interesting. Safe parking ,security was good. Thank you for a wonderful stopover!

Clean accommodation. We really appreciated that the family rooms have a room within them with the children's room, which helps a lot with getting the child to bed and also provides more privacy for parents. We also appreciated that there are people serving breakfast, rather than a serve-yourself buffet. Excellent facilities, including a very nice lounge with a pool table and an poolside area with table tennis. Don't miss the excellent mining museum at the back.

We asked for advice on the best place to see flowers but the person wasn't able to advise us.

The attentiveness of the team at the hotel was excellent. Both dinner and breakfast was delicious. The lamb curry deserves an extra mention. I would highly recommend staying in this hotel but also having dinner there. Rooms was comfortable with a kitchenette and decent coffee at the tea/coffee station in the room.

Okiep Country Hotel is like an oasis in a desert. One wouldn't expect a hotel of such high standards in a small mining town like Okiep. The rooms were clean, warm and properly furnished for overnight guests who are just passing through, or for those wanting to stay a few nights in order to explore the region with its beautiful flowers. Business travelers are also well advised to use their facilities, which are quite good. The food was exceptional, well prepared and tasty. A bonus was that the chef knew exactly what to do when we informed him that my wife is gluten and lactose intolerant (coeliac disease). She could eat everything that was prepared for her and did not have any problems at all. I would really recommend a stay, also because of the historical setting of the hotel and the information it provides on the history of the town. Well done!

Not much actually. Maybe enforcing a dress code in the dining room. Some guest came in tack suits and flip-flops, which did not look good; as if they were getting ready for bed. But that may be a personal taste, as I believe dressing properly for dinner in a public is a sign of respect towards the staff who did all the hard work and fellow guests who want to enjoy the ambience.

Fabulous staff, great little bar with the coldest beer, hearty food, clean and well cared for premises, and a fascinating little museum to boot.

What a lovely surprise this place was! A real oasis in the middle of nowhere. Exceptional service - we had a few special requests and they went out of their way to accommodate us every time. The hotel is well looked after and we cannot fault this place on any thing. Supper and breakfast was delicious as well!
