Stunning room, amazing views. Pool is great just wish we had better weather so we could've used it. They have one of the best breakfasts EVER! Highly recommend, def will be back when the weather is better so we can use the facilities and enjoy the view.

The weather which wasn't their fault! Check-in was a bit confusing as when I messaged to ask if we could come earlier they said yes, then when we got there they said we can't check in till 2pm. I think it was a miscommunication due to the language barrier though.

There is a truly breathtaking view from the room and dining areas. The room is large with a exceptional bed, it is tastefully decorated with a proper size bathroom. It was rainy and we only booked for one evening, so we did not get to utilize the pool or enjoy some of the other activities on offer, but this was truly a pleasant surprise on our road trip. The road up the mountain was also easily accessible with a low clearance vehicle. We had a lovely 3 course dinner upon prior arrangement. You also get to enjoy an exceptional breakfast with the most stunning view imaginable. I would label this an hidden gem.

We had no complaints, but take into account that the accommodation is far up on the mountain and while this is part of the charm and exceptional view, you'll have to travel by car to any activity. Sedgefield is down the mountain, so not really an issue.

This place is heavenly. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. They pay attention to every detail. I loved the pool; it was lovely to take a swim after a long drive. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view across the property. Other things to enjoy during your stay: Binoculars, books, games, walk of the gardens. The breakfast was INCREDIBLE – pace yourself through the courses so you have room to try everything! Thank you for a lovely stay; I will be back with all my friends in the near future.

Not a complaint but a note for other guests: I was texted earlier in the day to inquire if I wanted to join for dinner - but I was driving all day and I don't have data on my phone. I texted back using wifi at a cafe on a driving break, but apparently my response didn't go through, so I was unable to have dinner when I arrived. This is not the property's fault - I should've bought data for my phone! I just wanted to mention this in case you are driving or unable to text - perhaps message Kambaku the day before to arrange for dinner! It sounded delicious.

Absolute unique located, perfect area, perfect building, perfect view, delicious food, everything arranged and decorated with love, very nice owners and staff working there. So a place to breath, calm down and enjoy. Great Kajak tour was also arranged for us and accompanied by the owner. This was a very special time for my son and me. The diner we had was absolutely perfect with a personal menu card.

The water to use in the bathroom for washing and taking showers is coming directly from the river and brown ( as it was said from tannins - so no issue to use it) but it would help to get that explained before and maybe also an option to build a filter system. On top we had in our bathroom a bad sewage smell that seemed to be difficult to stop, so we experienced that 4 from 5 days stay.

Location has stunning views. Breakfast was excellent. Beautiful presentation. Welcome was very warm and friendly. Lovely welcome drink. We received a complimentary bottle of champagne. Vespa and John are both very well trained and professional.

We did not get the room we booked. The situation was handled very poorly by the manager. Booking.com was blamed for the error. We were not informed of the dinner option prior to check in. We were not provided with any Wi-Fi login details.

There are many things to love about this great boutique hotel but I would especially highlight the following: - easy access to both Knysna and George, - the tranquility of the property (away from the traffic noise of the N2 and perched on a hilltop by itself), - the aerial views of the mountains and estuary below - friendly, attentive, and professional staff, - a generous and fresh daily breakfast. My wife and I will definitely be returning!

We were suitably surprised at how stunning the property actually is. Our room was really beautiful and there was so much attention to detail in the small things which we loved. It was confortable, clean, neat, extremely spacious and everything we needed was available. The breakfast was fit for a king - absolutely delicious.

The view was spectacular-out of this world Then the food-omg-it was 10 ⭐️ The detail of the place settings and decor of the table was always different every time. Tristan was our chef-and if I tell you it was scrumptious-it is an understatement.Our hilite was the food.The staff is so well organized and our room was amazing-everything you need was there.We felt like royalty and was treated as such.This will be the only place I will go to when I go to the Cape-Will surely recommend it to everyone I know-well done to them

Wow! This is really the most special and beautiful place I`ve ever seen. The scenery is just unreal, the house itslef is decorated amazing, and everything is very high end. Tristyn and all the staff were really helpful with everything. The dinner was amazing as well. We came to these place by mistake but we will recommend everyone to come here.
