Lovely location if you like to be in the sticks and I love the desert so I liked the location. The staff were very pleasant and tried hard to make our stay good. The electric blanket worked and we were given lots of water which we needed. The gate is closed at night for security. Lovely to sit on the porch and watch the moon rise over the desert. The room looked really nice on arrival.

The cook had disappeared so the food was not good although the staff did try hard. I was not given a receipt but was promised one to my email - it never arrived. I like to have the receipts. The shower could do with a curtain to prevent splashing onto the floor. Perhaps a new mattrass would be a good investment.

The staff were welcoming and helpful and even provided us with a gas heater when we were cold. The hostess made sure we always had something to drink. They have the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in in a guest house. The location was great and the area beautiful. The house is completely off the grid. Apollis Cottage is a great place to stay, a little off the beaten track, which we liked.

There was nothing to dislike.

Lovely home away from home feeling. We were greeted with a cup of tea and a slice of chocolate cake. Annie and her husband are wonderful hosts. Apollis Cottage is a little off the beaten track and it was wonderful to sit under a blanket of stars surrounded by such quiet and stillness. Room was clean and tidy, while breakfast was delicious. Waking up to the wide open space of Namaqualand was special. Would have been great to stay longer. Highly recommended.

The cottage is in a beautiful setting and the comfortable en suite rooms each have a private patio and bar fridge. The spacious communal lounge/ dining area with a coffee station was a great place to relax and the hosts went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.

We loved staying here and were lucky that owner Annie herself was around and gave us with her warmth the feeling of being more than welcome! We had a great room and I can only say the best about the included breakfast and additional dinner. We’d definitely come back! The place is remote, with beautiful views and stunning sunrises ❤️

The hosts Gavin and Anita are very warm and friendly people. They gave us some nice tips to take a walk around the house and day trips in the vicinity. They were very flexible with dinner and breakfast which were both lovely. The accomodation is very nice with comfy beds and nice bathrooms and the dog Sookie is super cute and loves some attention ;). The location is super nice, it takes a gravel road to get there but 100% worth it. Views are breathtaking especially with the flowers

The staff were amazing. The night we arrived was cloudy and rainy, their solar system didn’t charge up well. Spent most of the night in darkness, but the ladies went out of their way to make sure we were warm and comfortable. We ordered dinner and it was delicious. Thank you Apollis team.

Cute guest house in the middle of the desert, 10 minutes outside of Springbok. We received a very warm welcome, had a great homecooked dinner , a very comfortable night’s sleep and a wonderful breakfast. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back there.

The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak.

The location was great, peaceful with great views The lady who managed the property was very kind and helpful she did everything so the guest could feel like at home
