Stayed in a deluxe double on the 3rd floor. Faced the road but was quiet. Good location and walkable to many restaurants and bus stops. Large but basic room, a bit like a step back in time but once acclimatised it was very comfortable. Excellent bed and pillows. Paid extra for additional bedding on request- a mattress topper and duvet as room only came with a thin comforter. Bathroom is a wet room with rain shower but had a bath with overhead shower as well. Small bath towels but plentiful so enough to dry off. Hot water and good water pressure. Run by very friendly family.

Nothing I didn't like. It was a comfortable and suitable hotel for our stay of a couple of nights.

If your arriving by train or bus I strongly recommend you visit the Tourist Info Center as they can provide bus schedules & maps etc. Located downtown within walking distance of bus stops & Jimdak Alley. Upon check in I paid cash for my 3 night booking but was not provided with a receipt which I thought was strange but as long as my booking was honoured I was not concerned. Reception staff have limited english. My room was spacious and clean. Rooms are cleaned daily. Everything worked fine. The bathroom was large with excellent hot water & water pressure. There us a 7-11 next door as well as a CU store nearby and many restaurants.

I firstly booked this hotel due to the great pictures, large rooms, reviews, price per night and location and I was not disappointed. I was within walking distance to many shops and restaurants and was able to explore Andong and the old part of Andong. I got the KTX from Seoul stopping at the newer Andong Train station. The taxi ride from the station to the hotel, was about 20 minutes and cost me approximately 10,000 won. The staff were friendly and spoke a little bit of English. They booked taxis for me and also gave me a bus schedule for my return trip from the Hahoe Folk Village. Admittedly I did catch a taxi to the village in the morning which cost 33,400 Won, however I got the bus in the afternoon back and was dropped off very close to the hotel and this cost me 1500 Won only, using my T-money card. I would stay at this hotel again, it was very nice and great value for money.

The only thing I did not like, which is not the fault of the hotel, but the distance from the Andong Train station to the hotel, needing a taxi or a bus if you want to do the research. I originally booked the hotel, thinking it was close to the train station (walking distance) but later found out that that was the old station, that had been decommission, which I confirmed when I was there and saw the tracks removed, haha. Otherwise I could not find fault with the hotel.

First of all, the hotel staff was very helpful. The hotel staff arranged three mornings with the same taxi driver for visiting the three key historical points around Andong. The taxi driver was very nice and competent (he showed us beautfiul roads through the rice fields, avoiding the most direct roads). He was speaking only Korean and we were speaking only English or French. But that was not a major problem!!! Indeed in Hahoe village he introduced us to a French speaking Korean staff from the KFCE.

The Goryeo hotel does not provide breakfast. But that is not a major problem since the hotel is located in a district packed with small restaurants, and places like Paris-Baguette, etc.

Great and quite quiet location not too far from the bus stop we used to travel to places nearby town and to and from the train/ bus stations. Plenty of places to eat nearby within easy walking distance. Huge room and bathroom. Loved the couch to sit and relax on.

We did find the bed a little too hard and usually we don’t mind a harder bed. It was also a bit difficult to cool down the room ( this was difficult in many of our Korean hotels) but finally managed to using the air conditioner to override the heater.

Room is big and very comfortable room. It is in the city center so there are many places to eat, or have a coffee. Bus stops are also close. The room is quiet and the bed very comfortable. They allowed us to store our luggage before entering the room.

Like many places in Korea, the window has no screen or curtain, so a lot of light comes in from 5 a.m. on.

The hotel is in a great location close to the center and market. It has free parking that was extremely convenient. The person who received us in the reception had a very good level of English but the one who stayed there at night didn't. The bed mattress was hard - we loved it but I am aware not everyone may like it. The hotel gives a good value for the money - is clean and have big rooms but don't expect luxury

Besides the fact they provided us only one towel (in order to having the night person in the reception to understand I brought the towel to the lobby) they were old and thin.

The room was super spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. It even had a bathtub to relax after a day exploring the area and historical spots in Andong. Close to a market and several restaurants and cafes. The property has anough parking space if you're getting there by car.

Great hotel in the city centre. Free parking on site. Large room. Provided extra bedding and towels. Water bottles also provided daily. Excellent front desk and staff. So helpful and kind. They made our stay very easy. Fabulous location - short still to old market.

Bed was hard but we have found that in a lot of hotels in Korea so definitely not a deal breaker for us. The hotel was great value and excellent for a short stopover to see the folk village, bridge and old markets.

Good location near bus stop, restaurants and park. Nice big size room with firm bed & small couch. Very good Wifi. Good size bathroom. Many food & drink choices around.

Manager didn’t provide bus directions from the train / bus station when asked via email. Though it’s rather easy. I ended up getting the info from the tourist center. No need for taxi. Take bus 210 or 212 or 410. Staff is not helpful with suggestions about places to see or eat, little English spoken.
