Great location and a few mins away from bus stops. Room was clean and staff were helpful

Breakfast. As someone who doesn't eat pork, there were multiple items on the breakfast menu that had pork but didn't specify e.g the stir-fried rice. I didn't notice the pork pieces until after a few bites to which i asked the staff what type of meat it was. There was nothing mentioned on the label about it having pork whereas some other items had (pork) written. It was such a shame as I could only eat the bread, omelet, cereal, and fruit there. not worth the money for anyone with dietary restrictions

It was fine. Good location. Facilities were good and room clean. Staff were lovely. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. CVS on corner. I was on 13th floor and had view of shopping street. Had a great selection of toiletries and decent sized towels. Room was spacious. Anmok beach only a few minutes away - well worth a visit!

No socket to charge phone near bed. Bed very hard. The hotel furniture could do with an upgrade and wallpaper was damaged and had an old feel about it, but room was clean. Water pressure not very good in shower. Only a rack to hang clothes and only couple of hangers. Lots of condensation on windows.

The hotel is clean and the rooms were a good size. We went in winter and the rooms were always warm. The breakfast was very tasty and the location was in an interesting part of town being near to the river and the traditional market. We ate very well in the surrounding restaurants and loved the views of the snow covered mountains surrounding us.

The name of the hotel was a problem. We struggled several times getting taxi drivers to take us to the hotel. "Gangneung hotel" or "Gangneung Tourist Hotel" just isn't recognised by taxi drivers. Once we had a card from the hotel with us we had no further problems, or we just used Kakao Taxi and set the destination ourselves. Reception staff tried to be helpful but their English wasn't great, and our Korean was much worse. We weren't informed when our laundry was ready and had a couple of bum steers from reception, but they were friendly and tried their best to be helpful. It was hard to use the shower in the bathroom without flooding the whole floor, but this is probably a cultural thing for us not being used to the korean bathroom.

Good location to the main shopping street, an easy bus ride to the closest beaches, beautiful view from the breakfast room, they offer a buffet breakfast room

I can see the hotel was once a top notch hotel and with the time some small details have not been taken care of but it still remains a good price/quality hotel with very large rooms and a located in the city center

We booked two rooms. A standard room and a deluxe room. Both were very well-maintained and smartly decorated. This isn't a particularly new hotel, but nothing was overly shabby or worn. I think the hotel management takes good care of their property. The breakfast buffet up on the 15th floor is a pretty decent value. Nice views from up there as well.

The standard room was nice, but there was like a noisy pipe or something behind one wall. It sounded like every bathtub in the hotel was draining right through our room at night. Not the best environment for a good night's sleep. This was room 2021, by the way. Maybe avoid that one.

😕 Toilet always smelled so much like smoke. Light controlled just in one point away from bed, bathroom and toilet. Very hard matress. Lobby spoke very little english.

The friendly staff, spacious room with a decent size TV, location close to everything, etc. You get your money worth, and I love the fact that I had an endless number of restaurants to choose from and close to the market (walking distance). I couldn't ask for more from the staff. They were always helpful, friendly, and professional. I would definitely stay there again.

There was ample space to park our car. Our rooms on the 12th floor had nice view. The breakfast buffer offers a choice between international and local dishes. The breakfast room is on the top floor and offers stunning views.

We forgot one item at the room; we did not find a way to contact the hotel to check if they found it.

The location was great. It was an easy walk to traditional markets, Molwha Street, and other places of interest. The views from the breakfast room were amazing. It was really great to see most of Gangneung from 15 stories.

The mattress was really hard. But, it was clean and I was able to sleep well.

Good location, friendly staff (young girl at the front desk), clean rooms, also liked shampoo and hair conditioner in the bathroom.

1. I didn't like the breakfast. I would pay more for the breakfast and have various high-quality food (fresh fruits, vegetables, fish), rather than pay less and have simple food. I also wanted to make a latte with a coffee machine, but it was only designed for americano and espresso. 2. Annoying heating system, which is just a conditioner blowing hot air. It dries skin and is noisy. But I guess it's common in Korean hotels during the winter season.
