Very hospitable accommodations with comfortable room and bed. Large bathroom with good shower. Good breakfasts and great location to see Ordesa and Mount Perdida National Park. Staff was all very pleasant. Also enjoyed the general ambiance and artwork in the hotel. Seemed to be well-managed.

Nothing.

As I mentioned earlier in the survey, both my wife & I thought all the facilities were excellent. We didn’t venture into the Spa, as this was a working trip, on our way to Mallorca. We will probably be back, maybe next year. Hadn’t seen the “before”, but we thought that the conversion “after” has been tastefully carried out to retain many historical features, particularly the internal stonework - including the chapel. We intentionally chose a room in the original building, right next to the chapel. Wonderful. Although we didn’t venture into any of the “villas” - they were also well finished off - especially good for small families. Pool area, provided adequate personal privacy, with great service from staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent breakfast , with choices in most categories. Main dining area was well designed with the wood beams/ trusses adding some matching character. However, see our comments on the food. Yes, many pleasing features, including the location.

Breakfast apart, the food was somewhat disappointing . . . . and although completely understand how the business has to both “appeal” and at the same time pay the wages / be profitable - so some cost saving has to result somewhere, therefore have to reluctantly say . . . . the bar food was awful. Food in the main restaurant was better e.g. for the evening meal - however, the breakfast did the trick in both choice and quality. Sorry!

The building is extraordinary, beautifully restored and tastefully furnished. Rooms were spacious and cool even in the high temperatures we had. The pool was very nice good size and clean I did not have breakfasts or use the spa one of the group did and enjoyed it. The staff were very good and the dinning experience excellent.

More an expectation calibration to others a 5* Spanish hotel does not have the same service level as in Northern Europe. So for instance I asked for dinner for 8 at 8:30 on and on arrival they had not booked anything as I had not seen their reply 2 days later saying which day (of the 2 days) they did not follow up over a whole month. Also, I saw someone else complain that the bar did not remain open late in the evening. Just remember it is also much cheaper than Northern Europe as well!

Lovely property in a peaceful location

Distance of the villas from the main hotel. A great stay was spoiled by the management not informing when booking that a wedding event would be taking place during our stay. This would have been tolerable but the management allocated only ONE waiter to look after around 20 tables in the cafeteria in the evening resulting in very long waiting time. I realise that the hotel needs events like weddings but the management needs to understand not to not disrespect individual guest bookings!

Extraordinary building, beautifully restored and well maintained. Great location given the surrounding region. Upgraded room was big enough, but could use an upholstered chair for reading.

Breakfast was inconsistent. For 20 euros, there was excellent choice and quality. However, it's one size fits all. One morning I asked the DR hostess if I could buy just coffee and a pastry. She said no. I left, then returned a few minutes later to ask for milk so I could at least use the coffee machine in my room. (No milk or even whitener in the room.) She blew me off, but then told someone to make me coffee. Unexpectedly poor guest experience for a 4 star hotel. When I told the front desk clerk of my experience, he was genuinely apologetic but did not ask if he could make it right. (I had to pay for the coffee of course.)

Monastery building was v characterful. Spa was v good but Booking.com hadn't advised prices to access it were on top of already expensive hotel price. We also had to buy swimming caps. Breakfast was also good but for €20 so it should be.

Pricey extras. We originally booked a standard villa which was meant to gave a large and small bed in the bedroom, plus a sofa bed in the lounge. There was only one large bed in the bedroom. The "villa" was actually just a rather poor bedroom, bathroom and lounge in an annexe building 400m from the main hotel. No historic ambience whatsoever. There was no wifi and no hot water so we complained and were moved to a v nice twin room in the main hotel.

A stunning and tastefully decorated hotel in a good location for exploring the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park, and the historic towns of Ainsa and Boltana. We loved our room, which had a wide and VERY comfortable bed. Pool area was super nice, and so was the breakfast buffet. Dinner at the restaurant was decent, and the Asador Zabrin a few minutes down the road was among the best places we ate during our three weeks in Spain.

Given that the hotel is in the midst of everything, you do need to have a car to make the most of your stay here. The «balcony» in our room was a cruel joke.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful location. The junior suite was great value for money and the interior of the hotel and its decor is exceptional. Cold drinks as well as cava is offered free as you arrive and the staff are friendly. The swimming pool and relaxation area is beautifully kept and a fabulous place to relax with a lovely view. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The breakfast is great. Overall there is a calm, relaxed atmosphere.

Whilst the food was good quality the menu needs a little more choice as there is a lot of fish and a lack of vegetables apart from red pepper which came with most dishes. The starters are far too big. The same menu is offered for lunch and for dinner so that if you stay for a few days it is becomes difficult. This would put us off booking again.

Beautiful location and hotel. Everything was perfect, including the restaurant and the spa. Breakfast was very good and lots of options. Overall experience was great.

I think they overcharge a little for the spa for hotel guests. For the room price, I think the circuit at the spa should be included or at least cheaper than it was. They also charge extra for slippers and swimming cap. It’s a small detail, but small details make the difference.

This is our second time. Love the location, services offered and rooms.

The cafeteria staff for dinner was not very professional. I couldn’t eat certain things because of my health situation and we asked to have some changes in our sandwiches. The first time they sent without any changes. We sent it back. Then they sent the sandwich with a piece of bread and 4 slices of not melted cheese. No vegetables, no sauce, nothing. Disgusting. And the lady server was angry, not smiling and in a rush
