Great location, very comfortable room, very friendly staff and a pleasant place to stay. I only realised when I arrived that it had a spa onsite also and it appeared very popular based on the number of people in the hotel who were dressed for their day of treatments.

Nothing about the hotel but would caution visitors not to use the address for the hotel delivered in the Booking.com reservation confirmation as it is not correct. Put the name of the hotel into your search and you will avoid the frustration I experienced trying to follow the address provided in Google maps. 😡

A beautiful quaint traditional hotel I was given an attic type room but it was comfortable and clean The decor in the hotel was luxurious and reminded me of past times with quality and style I was given a special reserved table at breakfast as I was booked as a Pilgrim There was a beautiful bar playing jazz which led to a nice garden A thermal spa with treatments was available The staff were helpful and explained everything upon arrival A really nostalgic hotel

Very convenient location to the Camino. The hotel has a small thermal pool for €10 (for 30 minutes) and 20 minute pilgrim massages for €28. The massages were great! The room was basic but clean. The last day we were there an extremely helpful and friendly woman was working at the front desk

There was a continental breakfast that was remarkably lacking. There was one waitress for all of the tables. We were only provided with a few small body wash/ shampoo packets for 2 people. It wasn’t enough.

The thermal bath/pool was simply divine after a long day's walk. The breakfast was standard Spanish fare - bread, ham, cheese, orange juice (bottled, not fresh). There were loads of regular patrons of the thermal baths booked in the hotel and you can see them in the dining room for breakfast wearing their bathrobes. Be sure to bring swimming cap + slippers == they are requirements of the spa. But the cap can be purchsed for about 1-2 euros, and you can borrow rubber slippers from them.

There were loads of flies in the dining room. Doesn't really mean the placce is dirty, i'm guessing it is because the property is near the river. The pilgrim massage was a bit pricey (about 50eur for 45 mins, though i can't recall correctly). But I'm from Asia and the massage prices in my region is pretty low.

We walked right up to the front door along the Camino, the location couldn't have been more convenient. The room was clean and spacious with great sunlight. We enjoyed a 30-minute thermal soak and the Pilgrim's Massage special which was just the pick-me-up we needed after a few days trekking. We enjoyed a nightcap in the bar in the wonderful bamboo garden, complete with the entertainment of Michi, the cat. Maria, staff at the bar, was delightful.

It would have been helpful to have hooks in the bathroom for the towels.

Lovely historic property that was originally a bathhouse from 1780. Hotel was located along the river close to the highlights of the city with many restaurant choices. The bathhouse and services were very nice and easy to book even at the last minute. My room was very comfortable, the bathroom was well laid out and the shower was amazing. The hotel was located on the Camino Way so it was a perfect location for me as a pilgrim on the Camino. Staff was vey attentive and helpful.

The hotel is old and quirky, but I loved it. Location is superb. Staff are very friendly. There’s a mineral water spring right outside the hotel (and also used inside for spa treatments), which attracts lots of locals. Breakfast on the 1st floor, is in an amazing room. Food is good, and lots of it.

All good from my perspective

The location in town. The 2nd floor rooms have good a/c. They stored our bicycles for the night in a secure place. We very much appreciated that!

The breakfast was very sparse. One roll per person, packaged cookies, juice and coffee and no fat yoghurt . Just a note, This hotel caters more for guests who come to use their spa facilities so the clientele is a bit older and walked around the breakfast area in their spa bathrobes.

The staff were very warm, accommodating and helpful. I liked the "retro" feel of this hotel. It's like something out of the 20's to 40's and has a large dining room inside as well as an outdoor facility in back that is right by the river and plays jazz in the evenings. The spa was just over the top. Having a soak in warm mineral water and a massage was so wonderful after walking many days on the Camino. The location is very central to the town.

I wish I would have gotten a room with air conditioning. It was warm at night (I stayed in August). Also the shower and bathroom, although adequate, were rather small.

Right in the middle of historical Caldas de Reis. the hotel is next to the Thermal springs whose temperature is above 40 C. The attic room was exotic. AC is fully operational. Very clean. Standing glass shower. Breakfast was nice. Enjoyed coffee a lot. 5 min away from self-laundromat, several supermarket (closed on Sunday, but one is open). Many restaurants are nearby.
