The buffet breakfast is excellent, with a wide range of options (fruit, Continental and English breakfast, etc.). Gluten-free options rather limited, and the jam/marmelade from dispensers is not so great. The rooms are large, with new, improved illumination, large balcony with good views, and a large bathroom with a bathtub and excellent water pressure. The indoor pool is excellent, though the first day it wasn't heated; once we mentioned this, the heatiung was put on and the temperature was perfect.

The range of foreign TV channels has been reduced quite a bit. Apart from the news (BBC/Sky), there's virtually nothing in English. The indoor pool used to have a hot tub, which has disappeared, the waterjet doesn't work, and the sauna was out of order. The pool is great, but it would be good if it were maintained better. There also used to be a reading room, which no longer exists.

Lovely hotel that is close to the beach, Rock of Ifach and local amenities. A walk of 20/25 mins to the Old Town of Calpe and main shops. Great facilities throughout. We are cyclists and there is really good bike storage in the basement with a pump to inflate tyres.

Entertainment in hotel lobby goes on too late, often to midnight which resonates throughout the rooms above. Surprising for a family hotel. Also, minor point but breakfast staff before the 8am start, rearrange chairs in the restaurant by dragging the chairs across the floor. This again resonates throughout the hotel, waking those up who don’t plan on having an early breakfast.

Even though we do not like big hotels like this we booked it for our winter stay. We did not regret in the end. Very good food (lots of healthy options). Friendly staff (especially the ones at the restaurant). Indoor pool which is heated and in winter a big asset. Pool outside bit cold, but nice area for sunbathing. Even though the beds looked a bit old, they are very comfortable. We also liked how the hotel is situated as you can walk basically everywhere. Beach is about 5 min walk and eateries and shops are around the corner.

One thing you need to know is that the hotel offers entertainment. Make sure you stay above level 3 as otherwise it will be very loud up until 23-24.00.

Room clean and spacious but tired looking. Breakfast and dinner - plenty of choice of food, enjoyable. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Lovely location.

Our first room was on floor 1, there was entertainment which continued until 11:45 which was very loud. I asked the staff the following morning if we could change rooms as there was entertainment on every night, we were moved that day to a higher floor where we could hear no noise. Our original room did not have a second inner door which would have deadened the noise.

The pools (indoor and outdoor open all year round) are great, the indoor one is well-heated. The good quality breakfast buffet offers a wide range of options, including English breakfast. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable, having a proper bath tub is definitely a bonus. This is much better than the cramped condidtions of many modern hotel rooms and bathrooms. Other positive aspects are the location near the beach and general friendly atmosphere. We also appreciated the reading room with a little international library.

The jacuzzi was sadly out of service. Being a regular guest, I noticed that the jams and marmalade, which now come from dispensers, aren't particularly appetizing. Though parking is free, there are only very few spaces belonging to the Hotel; most guests have to park across the road, where there is a public gravel parking lot.

The elevator system is insufficient, often there was a queue of guests waiting. The coffee in the breakfasts is not good, we suggest to install other type of coffee machines. Toddlers with nappies were in the pool which didn't seem very hygienic. Entertainment shows could be better.

The hairdryer. You need a vice like grip to hold down a spring loaded handle. The minute you take full pressure off it it goes off. Just get normal hair dryers.

I stay at the IFACH because it’s the friendliest hotel in Calpe which is vital for me because I travel alone. With such friendly staff I never feel nervous about sitting at the bar or using the restaurant on my own. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. There is great variety of food in the restaurant. Something for everyone

The hairdryer in the room was awful.

Shower gel & shampoo can have a bit more in the dispenser (only less than ¼ in the bottle), Restaurant charges bottle water should offer filter water unless request differently. Shuttle bus should provide by hotel with a reasonable price

Everything was perfect. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive, always ready to assist. The pools were fantastic, and the gym was well-equipped, providing everything needed for a good workout.

It's a little bit noisy in the evening, but no a big problem.
