We had finished the Camino Francés and were now undertaking the Camino Finisterre between Santiago and Finisterre, approx. 900kms all up. We walked through an hour of torrential driving rain that filled our shoes within a minute. We hurried to Albergue Ponte Olveira and they saw our drenched predicament and checked us in early. The Albergue is a beautifully restored old stone building which was impeccably finished, particularly the blend of stone and timber. Great food available and marvellous hosts. I can't recommend this Albergue more highly!

It was right on the Camiño in the countryside. The person who welcomed us carried our backpacks up the stairs. The bar and restaurant were right at the property and the food was delicious especially the pork stew on the pilgrim menu. The bedding was lovely and the room was very charming with a low wooden ceiling. The shared bathrooms were very clean and all worked perfectly. There is a lovely garden at the back and a washing machine and dryer you can pay for or a place to do hand washing and hang it on the line behind the property which is what I did.

Our room was at the front next to the road so it was quite noisy when the traffic went past.

Excellent location and value for tired pilgrims just before Olveira after the long stretch from Negreira. The staff were very welcoming, and the hot peregrino meal for E12 deliscious. The bathrooms were clean and beds very comfortable, and they even had washing machines and drying racks for all the wet peregrino clothes after heavy rains The staff even assisted in forwarding a tired pilgrims' sandals to the next destination after forgetting it in the room 🙏

Lots of outdoor space for relaxing after a hard days walking Triple room was huge with a great, powerful, shower Location about 2km from the town centre Excellent value 3 course ‘meal of the day’ which included a bottle of wine

Staff on arrival, and at dinner, could’ve been a more friendly Lacked atmosphere! Breakfast staff were great

We had a private with en-suite bath. The beds were the best beds of our entire Camino thus far. Very comfortable. Shower and bathroom were very clean and spacious. Staff were fantastic. Food and drinks in bar were very good. A really great stay. Washer/dryer machines worked great.

It would be nice to have a fan in the room to assist with air flow.

Alba was super welcoming and sweet and we loved being able to have a full super flavorful vegan meal. While the beds are not the most comfortable and they use one use sheets we still had a great sleep. The bathroom and toilets are great and clean. There is also a microwave to have your own food which is always appreciated. The little garden is great too :)

This was one of our favourite stops on the camino - a welcome stop after walking in the rain, the people on reception were friendly and welcoming, the room and bathroom was clean, nice atmosphere in the cafe, and the menu offered vegan food :)

I wouldn't change anything

Clean, comfortable accommodation along the Camino Finisterre (the rout from Santiago to Fisterra). It's a nice, family-run pilgrim hostel hosted in a traditional house in the Galician countryside. No frills, but the individual rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the nature in the surroundings is amazing.

An Amazing place, just beautifully finished. Triple room a fantastic size and finished to an exceptional standard. Lovely garden area to the back, great food and super friendly and efficient staff. Thanks to the staff for even helping us to have our bags transported, despite our very basic Spanish.

There is absolutely nothing to complain about this place or the staff. Definitely give it 10 /10😍

Great albergue with curtains for a bit of privacy. Right on the camino. Has a restaurant attached and a lovely outdoor area behind the albergue to hang out.

The food was okay. Right next to the road, so road noise was a bit loud.
