I needed to stay an extra night so I rang the property up to see if I could arrive a day earlier- the guy running the desk didn’t have much English so he got someone who did and sorted it out no problem… I was delighted. When I got there the man at the desk was so lovely- we couldn’t speak the same language but he showed me round and let me choose my bed. When I came back later in the day he called me over to offer me a more private bed behind a curtain and didn’t put anyone in on top of my bunk for my comfort- it was so kind and really unexpected. Had a lovely restful sleep.

This is a really good albergue, with very friendly, helpful staff. I had booked a single bed, but the gentleman offered me the choice of keeping the single or a bunk, away from the high traffic area with my own privacy curtain. He left the top bunk free for the three days I was there. That was really kind of him. It felt like my very own private room. Most of the bunks have privacy curtains between them. There are lockers for our valuables.Also, the facilities are very good, a well equipped kitchen, and roomy bathrooms. It's very clean due to their hard work. There's a place to do your laundry and to hang it out, or machines if you'd prefer. The only small "problem" is that it's a little distance from the center, but that is so minor because Muxia is a small town. The price is amazing for what you get. I would happily stay there again

Fantastic hostel for pilgrims on the Camino, so many handy details from a heated cupboard for wet shoes, clothes hangers for wet clothes to curtains around the beds for groups of 4. And Jose Maria and all the hospitaleros were so friendly and helpful.

clean and comfortable and well located

staff were not very welcoming. When we asked for the possibility of having proper sheets (not the disposable type that were offered), I felt like I was asking for something impossible! ‘This is a hostel, not a hotel’. I’m fully aware of this and just wanted the chance to have proper bedclothes. When I said we could pay, the problem seemed to be solved! We got what we needed at a very reasonable €2 per head. Maybe it was all lost in translation, and my apologies for our lack of Spanish, but it felt like I was being difficult when in fact the problem was easily solved in the end.

A lovely relaxed albergue with a really friendly welcome. I got there early enough to claim on of the beds in an alcove which become like my own private room. Good access to the Camino for the following day.

I think I would have liked to have been a little closer to the main town centre but this is a small complaint.

Clean, well stocked kitchen comfortable bed mattresses. Great owners. Liked tge drapes around groupings of beds on a 20 bed room.

Disposible sheets and lack of fans in the bedrooms.

The receptionist was very helpful and we reached earlier and she checked us in before time and gave us to choose the bed we wanted and made it exclusive for us 3 Both the receptionist were very helpful and kind

Large room and no bad smelling, comfortable public area and nice staff . Perfect kitchen equipments, u can make a Taiwan's food here. Good location to walk to beach, supermarket, restaurants and bus station.

The fact that the albergue is located in a quiet place, and with a 2 minutes walk, you can easily get to the centre of the city.
