The Parador is beautifully situated.. Breakfast was very good. Dinner was good, but nothing special really. The setting lends itself to walking, with lovely views to the mountains, but sadly the weather was extremely wet.
I chose a room with terrace, and view to the mountains. Of course, the hotel has no control over the weather, but in dreadful weather it did mean that because the only window facility was that in the single door leading to the terrace there was little natural light in the room and therefore also a restricted view. There was only one armchair in the room. Lighting is not adequate for reading.

Location superb for those travelling to be in the mountains and natural environment although a car is probably essential for getting into the mountains. The superior double room with 'Mountain view' and terrace was exceptional. Cafeteria style dining room was great for those wanting a less formal meal than the restaurant. Lovely tiled bathroom.
Having facilities for making tea and coffee in the rooms would have been nice.

The views were beautiful. The rooms were very well appointed. Staff spoke English and other languages as well as Spanish. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
There was no means of keeping the room cool at night other than opening the window. We moved from the first room because it was anything but quiet. The next room was really quiet for the first night but then on the second night someone booked in at midnight and woke us

This is a lovely, historical Parador up in the Gredos mountain ⛰️ range. The quality of the food in the restaurant was excellent. The beef solomillo was the best I've had for years ... honestly!
We were there to celebrate a special occasion, and were disappointed that the bar was unable to make any cocktails 🍸 Still, we had an excellent gin + tonic and a cuba libre.

Good old fashioned comfort and service. Grand public areas and lounges. Great setting and views. Excellent food
Usb sockets would be useful and tv a bit dated - having said that channel choice in hotels here all rather limited ( but to be fair hotels at home too offer pretty pathetic tv choices)

Nice Parador at a great location with a beautiful view. All the luxuries you may expect from a Parador. Lots of sun decks, terraces and bay windows (nice when it is cold). The buffet breakfast is amazing.
Expensive, and we had to pay extra on location for a room with a view of the mountains.

Amazing location, staff, facilities and rooms. Traditional place with lots of history and beautiful decor. Rooms are very clean and cosy. Friendly staff . Perfect location for hiking around the area.
Everything was great. The food at the restaurant was a bit expensive for what it was, really.

Great place, wonderful location, iconic site for Parador fanatics.
Some modernisation is needed. Toilets in the rooms need to be double-checked...they might not work. No luxury is needed, but the standard level of Paradors needs to be kept.
