The location and surroundings were so very beautiful - outstandingly different and so peaceful, clean and comfortable The outdoor pool was perfect!

We booked the eat dinner at the hotel’s main restaurant- a set 3 course menu. This was possibly the worst dining experience we have ever had. The staff were rude and unhelpful. The food quality shockingly bad. We would return as it’s beautiful but we would not dine at hotel, we would get to the nearby town where there are other restaurants.

The location in the old monastery is really impressive with huge austere corridors, an extraordinary experience. The restaurant and breakfast in these old halls is very nice. And the walk in the spectacular park is amazing. The Thai massage by professional masseur Iman is another highlight

The spa is a bit old-fashioned with strikt rules and time slots, looks like a remnant of monastery life.

The place is exceptional. A medieval monastery with a park that is wonderful, big enough for an over-two-hours walk with plenty of waterfalls. The monastery has losts of iteresting places to visit and there is a lot of room for cooling down, enyoying a drink or a conversation on classical furniture.

It is a place to isolate. Do not expect ammenities or too much comfort. For instance there are very few elevators, you may have a long walk with your suitcase from the car to your room. The rooms have beautiful views, are somewhat austere, but still with nice bathrooms, fridge, safe, aircon, etc.

the place is magnificent in beauty. but your tickets to the park and monastery for 7 euros when you check in or it is 17.50 euros. the park is a must must must see. I felt like I was chasing waterfalls. one after the other. the horseshoe falls and going behind it is worth every fear of heights you have. the rooms were small as they are former mono rooms but there were nice and the terrace was a nice feature. the hotel staff were amazing. helpful and very nice. I liked that rooms they use for receptions and such were left unlocked and open for us to look at. don’t miss these. we entered the side door by parking and entrance to the park and we are so glad we did as it was just glorious to see the hallway as your first view of inside. it is simple in decoration much like the monks of yesteryear that gave it some character. the monastery is worth seeing.

there is not a lot of options for food and it is pretty remote so Bring snacks if you are staying a few days. the man working the dinner was very curt and we understand rushed. it was him and one lady running the whole dining room. he was just not friendly and very impatient.

Dinner in the main restaurant was excellent - really intersting and delicious local dishes and a well priced wine list. The buffet breakfast was also very good. What really stands out here is the location; waking up to birdsong and the distant sound or waterfalls and wandering before breakfast in the tranquil grounds. We can't recommend the historic garden park highly enough and the set lunch in the 'tourist' restaurant was also excellent value, Spa also very good

The swimming pool was not yet open for the season when we visited, which was a disappointment on a hot day! This was not apparent when we booked

The free tour to the monastery the guide the environment of the hotel as they preserved very well the austerity of the the Monkhouse

The staff was not very friendly particularly on the restaurant but we also saw that most of the servants at dinner were the same at breakfast and that means people where working longer hours that said the level of amiability was not high and the process is more important then the customer

The setting. Beautiful old world charm. Immediate access to the park which was well worth the trip. Incredible architecture, inside and out.

Virtually no literature available in English language. Free parking was appreciated but a challenge to move bags from the car to the rooms. Too much smoking in and around the hotel complex. Room was very small.

Beautiful place for rest and relaxation, especially the accommodations in the ancient monastery.

None. It would be better if the staff in the restaurant could speak English. But I can fully understand this. Thanks, the boss who helped us to order our dishes.

Amazing place to stay. A real experience between Barcelona and Madrid. The building is nothing that can be explained in words. The surrounding nature is so beautiful and accessible. A truly hidden jem in the heart of Spain.

Rooms are a bit old and outdated but it's compensated by the location and the building vibe

Easily worth the stay to see the nature park which is amazing.

The restaurant is just good, not great for the price. Water from the tap was muddy after a night of thunderstorms.
