Minimalist hotel in the grounds of a beautiful historic monastery. Simple, austere, modest, and relaxing in the simplicity. Great trip for our family but would be an amazing place to retreat to alone. There is a library to relax in where my boys played chess and we just enjoyed being in the grounds of the monastery. The surrounding villages like Prades are worth a visit. Our main goal was to see the comet at Prades Parc Astronomic. Highly recommend this too.

The beds were not comfortable, very hard but great water pressure in the shower!

Designed in 2010 by Spanish architect Mariano Bayón, the Poblet Monastery Guesthouse surprises with high quality facilities and interesting architectural spaces. High standard local produce in the breakfast buffet. Well-informed and kind staff suggested additional attractions around Poblet.

IMPROVEMENT OPPORTUNITY: Acoustic isolation. The wood quality in doors and floors is VERY HIGH, but there are no gaskets to dampen the outside corridor noise nor the room doors closing.

Beautiful surroundings next to the monastery. Nice, warm and clean rooms. Amazing views from our room 216.

Breakfast lacked some healthy options like müesli etc. Dinner a bit expensive (€30 for set meal, when we only wanted to eat something small with our kids). Hard to get hold of anyone before we arrived (we called and wrote many times). Please provide duvet covers instead of just sheets around the duvets. But overall we rate our stay 9/10!

It was an absolute experience just being here. The surroundings are beautiful, and the staff are very kind and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were really good, though I believe offering a bit less for a lower price might be a better approach.

The room was really hot, even with the air conditioning on. Also, the floor was squeaky, which isn’t ideal when you have little kids.

Wonderful location in very peaceful setting, good for walkers and bird enthusiasts. Restaurant changed menu each evening and it was good. Top-notch breakfast. We were grateful for our superior room size-wise and lovely outlook. Lovely reception staff. Restored monastery fascinating and beautiful.

Staying here is such a privilege. It is hotel and restaurant on the same site and is linked to, the Cistercian Monastery that has been in use since 1055 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The peace and tranquility is exceptional. The hotel is comfortable and modern but not luxurious - if you are looking for 4/5* norms this is not for you. The resturant provided a choice of 4 starters/mains/desserts with wine frmo the Monastery, we had an enjoyable meal. Our dog was welcome. Our visit to the monastery was a highlight, we returned to hear Vespers sung. Sublime.

Reception was not staffed after midnight and we had to knock on our neighbour's door to ask them to 'keep it down' - ironic for a monastery.....!

Hostatgeria de Poblet is a stunning and peaceful retreat with incredible scenery and a rich historical atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent—fresh and varied. Staff was very informative and nice.

The room was warm so I slept with netted window open. The monastery bells ring loudly at 5am! Still, but it was still a unique and memorable stay

The hotel is located within the Poblet monastery grounds which makes it an ideal base for the visit and an invitation to prayer and tranquility. The room was modern and clean and the bed was very comfortable. All the staff are amazing people, full of care and attention, eager to help with any questions and needs. Special thanks to Alba and Eugenia for their above and beyond level of help and communication skills.

We loved the location, beautiful landscapes, greenery, walking trails. Very large room with a very comfortable bed and pillow. Quiet ceiling fan kept the room comfortable on a warm night. Breakfast was superb.

Bathroom is a bit tight but functional and excellent water pressure. Wooden floors and doors can be a bit noisy.

The location, which is inside the Poblet Monastery complex. It's very quiet and peaceful. We liked the Library room, where we could read in peace.

I thought the bathroom might need some renovation, a new look. The breakfast was very good, but I didn't see any yogurts, which I thought was a bit strange!
