The Castle is a lovely small hotel, looks a bit like a Lego castle from a distance. Some of the rooms have a fantastic sea view with beautiful sunsets, viewed through floor to ceiling windows. Located next to Los Locos Beach, accessed via a steep pathway and steps. Beaches are great and used a lot by surfers due to the perfect waves. Parking is roadside, just outside the hotel, always seems to be plenty of spaces. They accept dogs at an extra cost of 15 euros per night.
Not much to dislike, you may not like the tight spiral staircase to access the rooms, there are no lifts. The toilets for the bar area are not as clean as you would expect.

Fabulous location. Dog friendly. Great friendly staff. Comfortable, well appointed room.
Parking is in the road so is not secure which is a concern when travelling with a car full of belongings as we were on our trip from Malaga to England. We didn’t though have any issues. We were looking for more of a restaurant to relax in after a long drive, it’s quite “snacky” food but we did enjoy what we ordered. We wonder what parking would be like in mid/high season. Our stay was 30th November and it was still busy. For the less mobile accessing the bedrooms up the spiral staircase with luggage could be an issue

We had a sea view room and the view was stunning. The climb up two floors on the spiral stairs was a challenge but worth it when you saw the view. The room, bed and bathroom provided everything necessary. Breakfast was provided in the restaurant/cafe downstairs where you can choose a freshly prepared dish of some kind (various egg dishes or tostadas) which came with freshly squeezed orange juice and your choice of coffee or hot drink. It's clearly a popular spot and people flock in throughout the day for drinks and meals while enjoying the sea views or the sunsets.
Nothing.

Breakfast included in price and choice from varied menu was excellent Excellent forecourt overlooking beach. Excellent varied international evening menu choices.
We did not realise access to rooms was via a metal spiral stairway. Not a problem for us or our dog but could be for people with heavy luggage or accessibility issues.

We had an overnight stop on the way to the Santander ferry this is a quirky small hotel with great views over the sea. Friendly staff. The sunset was great and the hotel bar and restaurant was very busy but we were delighted to find that as a guest of the hotel a table was reserved for us and the food was excellent. We were up to see the sunrise from our room and breakfast was also good. The spiral staircase could be an issue for some but we quite liked it. Only on street parking but plenty of it.

Friendly staff, nice historic building, well redesigned, romantic, very dog friendly! Good bed with plenty of pillows. The VIEW even impressed our dog. Please level up the hotel experience by placing a Nespresso machine and kettle in all rooms.
Paper thin walls, we heard everything from other hotel guests above and next to our room. Despite this I would still return for another stay and make sure I bring my ear plugs!!

I had just stayed in 21 hotels on my travels through Spain and France. I saved one of the best for last. The staff were lovely both front of House and in the cafeteria. The Hotel is a little quirky with an interesting staircase. The room was spacious and lovely with big windows looking over the sea. The bed was big and comfortable. The cafeteria was simply brilliant. Not a long menu but more than adequate and the food was delicious. The walkway was stunning and the locals enjoyed the venue which says a lot. Pricing was solid and deliberate and you feel that you got excellent value. I will most certainly be back to visit this Hotel. I am a hotelier and therefore tend to be critical and never overeffusive. This establishment is excellent
The Hotel has limited space and therefore parking was on the street. At the time of year we went there was plenty of availability. In high summer - I am not so sure. Being motorcyclists we were a little uncomfortable leaving our motorcycles on the road. his of course is not the Hotel's fault. I merely mention it so that other motorcyclists are aware - having said that the area feels very safe and I slept well..

We loved the view and the location - overviewing the bay, the ocean and the mountain range. The staff was extremely friendly and made our stay even more pleasant, above all the restaurant (from dishes to staff - perfect).
The location attracts many people and it can be quite loud until midnight (especially the music), starting with kitchen noises at 7-7:30 a.m. again. People with light sleep bring earplugs. We thought the views compensate for that minor downside

Location is incredible. The view is perfection. Room was comfortable. Walking around the coastline was a highlight. Perfect for a picnic goers & photography enthusiasts
Note that you have to climb very narrow, vertical, spiral stairs to get to your room. Not an issue for me but could see this being an issue for some. Esp with luggage. Restaurant was just ok. Staff seemed distracted and annoyed with basic questions.

The location is perfect, we had a room with a sea view and a floor to ceiling window. We could see the sea from the bed. The ceiling was a little low near the window so need to be aware of that. The food was excellent. A lot of people come here in the evening to watch the sunset. This was our third visit and is perfect to stay on the last night before the ferry back home.
Everything was good, only thing is the stairs, which are a narrow, (about 900mm) spiral staircase for all floors, there are no lifts. This may affect some people.
