The staff were very welcoming and friendly. This place is also large dog friendly ( with fee) great rooms with private access outside, large green dog friendly field. Swimming pool was a lovely bonus ! Great walks nearby and Suances was a nice spot. Great stop off not that far from ferry!

Unfortunately the food was not great! Breakfast was fairly standard… although no major complaints. But We did eat for dinner once and despite great staff at lovely surroundings I cannot lie the food was fairly awful … everything we ate was ready made from frozen… like a mediocre pub meal in the uk ( such a shame!) with tummy aches afterwards … we would however stay again but would just not eat here at dinner….?loads of great places to eat in suances

Simple but good!

Upon checking out in the morning I was unable to get a final invoice covering food and drinks; the reception lady, who only spoke Spanish, waved away my offer to pay with my credit card and suggested everything was settled. I am left wondering whether they can charge my credit card without me having signed anything, apart from a bottle of water of 2 euro. Please advise.

All was very good, what a fabulous place 30 minutes away from the port and yet away from the centre of the city of Santander. For £100 half board for two, great value for money. Food was really good and comfort of the bed was great. Would definitely consider using again.

The hotel was beautiful. The staff really friendly. Plenty of choice at breakfast. The food was gorgeous.

The rooms are not sound proof. We were over the resturant and kitchen so as soon as the fan was switched on early In the morning it woke us up. And we could hear noise from the resturant until late. The hotel is not actually in saunces but in cortiguera on the outskits of Saunces so its a half hour walk into town to shops and resturants and an hours walk down to the beach down quiet steep hills. Not what I expected when it advertised as saunces

The hotel was very welcoming and the staff explained evermything carefully. The room, although small, had everything you could want including a great view across the garden. The floor was a bit creaky and although it didn't worry me, I wondered what the guests underneath must have thought. The breakfast was excellent with a wide range of food available. The evening meal was excellent featuring local foods and menus. The set menu, although offering choices was particularly good value. Highly recommended.

Charmingly rustic, dog friendly inn. Lots of interest; great garden, seating area on terrace and pool. Room was cosy, bare floorboards a little creaky; Juliette window overlooking church. Great choice of delicious food. Dog friendly section of the restaurant. Staff friendly and helpful - pointed us to a nice riverside walk for walking our dog. Beautiful area, quiet village. Reasonably easy to find.

The style of the hotel is lovely, the bed and linen were super comfortable, the swimming pool and gardens and terrace were beautiful. The breakfast was good. We didn't eat in the restaurant but I'm sure it's great. The area around it is stunning with fabulous walks and views. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly.

Slight issue with such bright lighting in the bedroom. No soft bedside light. Bedside tables look nice but kind of flimsy. Toilet was squashed into a very tight space .

The staff were exceptional, the hotel was quaint and the food was lovely no complaints

I know hotels have to make money but we had 4 events out of the 12 days we were there and although they finished sometime between 8 and 9 it was exceptionally noisy which we didn’t expect

location is stunning the evening meal was great value for money and the continental breakfast was of great standard and selection. staff were very friendly and welcoming

the attic rooms you could everything from other rooms but the standards of rooms made up for it some sound proofing would help.

Unfortunately, due to late arrival of ferry into Santander, we arrived late at the hotel but Gustavo went the extra mile to make us welcome and quench our thirst. We loved the traditional decor of the hotel, the cleanliness and comfort of the bedroom and bathroom, and the friendliness of the two ‘breakfast’ ladies. The car park was adjacent to the property.

Nothing not to like, and hope to book on our return journey in January.
