Casa Shelly exceeded our expectations, the interior was beautiful with a carefully finished rustic Spanish feel; clearly a lot of thought and expense has gone into the internal renovation. The room with its double aspect window/doors encouraged the brightness in, with shutters to keep the morning sun out was perfect. The bathroom facilities were excellent with plenty of room and the kingsize bed with cotton bed linen was incredibly comfortable with a quiet fan spinning above us. Use of the communal kitchen was a superb touch with a little walled courtyard to sit out and enjoy the complimentary, teas, coffees, rustic tasty biscuits and cake all individually wrapped (with plenty of fresh milk restocked in the fridge). Location was perfect with very short walks to bars, restaurants and sights and we drove to Cadiz and Barbate from here. We were touring independently staying at various hotels throughout the Andalusia and this was by far the most comfortable and perfect hotel and made Vejer de Frontera out absolute favourite spot in all the places we stayed. I would wholeheartedly recommend this beautiful comfortable and quiet boutique 'hotel' with its small number of rooms and very helpful, friendly property owner. Thank you for putting such a beautiful spot on the map!

Nearby church bells ringing until 12 midnight as we are light sleepers. However, we found our solution was just to stay up until 12 midnight so didn't become an issue.

For the last 10 years running we have come to Casa Shelly and absolutely enjoyed every moment of it. Chris looks after his clients with the utmost care and attention. The rooms are exquisite, superclean and are urban chic in design and detail. By far this is the nicest place to stay in Vejer, and the reason why Vejer is my wife favourite place in Spain. The customer service is excellent from Chris, with precise attention to detail and a feeling of being in a luxury home away from home, need I say anymore!

Great location for Vejer, gorgeous rooms. We stayed with friends for a wedding at Casa Shelly and it was perfect. Host couldn’t have been more accommodating and everything went well.

Nothing bad to say. Just to be aware it’s hard to get to reach with a car so you’ll have to park in town and walk 5-7 mins (but that’s the case for most!).

Beautiful, stylish property in a very pretty town. Very clean, spacious room, very comfortable bed. Great information from the host with recommendation for restaurants, beaches, areas of interest to visit. Lovely kitchen area with huge fridge to store your food & drinks if necessary; also tea & coffee making facilities complete with delicious biscuits & cakes! What a bonus!

Casa Shelly is a beautiful property, tastefully decorated to a high standard. Everything was perfect in every way, cant recommend enough. The host Christopher could not have been more helpful from directions, sorting out the parking, arranging bookings for evening meals and recommendations. A memorable stay, thank you.

Everything, it is a very beautiful and comfortable property. Chris was a perfect host and even provided complimentary coffee and fruit. Is well located in old town Vejer just be aware this means very narrow streets so drop off cases 50m away near the church. We then left the car in a free car park 10 minutes away. Vejer is a foodie paradise had our best 3 meals in our week long trip here at Corredero 55.( Spatchcock chicken). El Califa Secret Pork. Juderia we had salad.Standard was very high and prices reasonable, sure any dish at these restaurants would be good.

Beautiful property, loads of character and well put together rooms. Chris was incredibly hospitable and welcoming, highly responsive. Vejer is stunning.

Nothing about the property. Would only provide a word of warning that it’s a little hilly, but this is not really anything to do with the property itself.

Tasteful decor, clean and friendly. This is my second stay and I have recommended it to friends who also enjoyed it.

Some walking down a steep hill for access, but that is rather in the nature of a hill town.

Beautiful, stylish room.. Linen looked and smelled amazing!! Location was perfect, a short stroll to all the shops and cafes/restaurants. Chris the host was so lovely, and went above and beyond to give us information about the local area. We had a brilliant weekend and will definitely be returning!

A very lovely renovated place in an antique historic house in the old town. Despite the good description how to find the property - google always wanted us to drive where you couldn't. So we needed to call and the owner picked us up at the car parking, thanks.
