In all my years travelling through Spain to Portugal and back , the reception staff have to be the friendliest and most agreeable, helpful I have ever encountered in Northern Spain , which I’ve found to be more hostile than hospitable, they were absolutely Brilliant 10/10
No kettle/ coffee facilities in the room and no room service between 11pm - 8am. As someone who gets up at the crack of dawn to work and who needs piping hot coffee to get going this is a major problem.Saying that the staff did try and accommodate me by providing flasks off coffee / hot water and milk before they finished work for the evening, which I was grateful for, but it was luke warm due to the amount of time lying in the flask . For a great hotel to warrant becoming a fantastic hotel then providing a basic coffee / tea making facility is worth doing. Also the restaurant menu was not to our liking , so we didn’t eat there , as it was heavily accented on local cuisine and not enough international offerings available.

The location a few steps from the Plaza Mayor and the large, deep swimming pool stand out. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming and had a very convenient solution for keeping our bicycles.
The rooms are not very well soundproofed and conversations can be overheard. The wooden floors are extremely creaky. After 2 nights we were glad to leave them behind. We ate in the restaurant and at the peak time of 20.30 were the only diners there. No atmosphere. The food was middling and the service was perfunctory. It would have been better to eat in the cafeteria as most guests seemed to be doing.

The Renaissance Palace in the Romanesque City of Zamora, the Parador has a medieval atmosphere that provides a contemporary hotel experience. The warmest greeting was received by the hotel manager at reception, very welcome after a long journey. The hotel staff were attentive, polite and informative, ensuring our stay was memorable. Room 112 was beautiful, however, it was noisy being located on the Plaza. Wi-Fi connectivity was not great but was adequate for an overnight stay. Breakfast was good, with good options reasonable for an establishment of this type, although service was strained due to a stressed member of the waiting team.
Disappointing no tea/coffee making in the room - however room service was provided

Well located in the town centre, public underground parking not too far away, suite huge but suspect normal rooms would also be large, well equipped, spacious public areas and. Nice pool.
Generally no negatives, as an old building while there was a lift to the upper floor rooms, there are some staircases in the public areas to get to the bar restaurant that might be tricky for older folk. Why do Paradors give breakfast diners a flimsy set of tongs rather than put serving spoons in the fruit, cheese, cold meat platters as the tons are very difficult to work.

Absolutely fantastic location and easy to access by car. Great guy on desk gave us 3 parking options and we chose the parking meter just beside the hotel. €2.10 every 3 hours bit the weekend was completely free so a win win situation for me. The pool and attendant were a mist for me and really nice to get in a mile or so in the pool in the afternoon followed by a bit of sun. Hotel bar was nice on the evening prior to going out. We opted to go to local cafes especially the theatre cafe in the morning for breakfast. Absolutely loved Zamora
The room was fabulous overlooking the pool area but the floor made an absolute racket when you walked on it and I kept waking my wife up and vice versa. The absence of tea or coffee making facilities don't make this a 4 star in my opinion.

We had a beautiful room over-looking the square with views of the storks nesting on the church roof. The Parador location is excellent, making it easy to walk around the town.
For info: Zamora is an old city so not surprisingly there is little parking at the hotel. Parking is available about 5 mins walk away in a safe underground car park. (Just watch the entrance gate - it's easy to scrape your tyres - but it's fine after that!)

We stayed in a junior suite overlooking the lovely square in the old part of the Parador. Wonderful and spacious corner suite with beautiful rooms with period furniture. Comfortable beds. Lovely marble bathroom. Sitting room with comfortable sofa and armchairs. Very good tea and coffee facilities. Very friendly reception especially the elderly gentlemen who took time to give us very useful information about wonderful Zamora. The palace, which locates the hotel is very impressive with beautiful courtyard.
Nothing.

Good central position in the historic centre, and in interesting old building.
Parking nearby was difficult. The best option in all respects was the San Martin underground car park 5 mins. walk away. The first recommendation of metre parking nearby was a) not available and b) would have involved feeding the meter. The staff at Reception and in the restaurant did their best, but seemed under pressure and understaffed.

The Parador de Zamora is a fantastic hotel, set in a refurbished medieval building, in the true Parador style. Excellent location, and great service from friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast on the terrace overlooking the garden and the swimming pool (yes, bring your swimsuit). Reasonable price for such a great hotel.
Nothing not to like.

Great location and a wonderful building. Lovely welcome from a very friendly gentleman at reception. The room was stunning and very comfortable. There was a lovely terrace for drinks.
We decided to eat in the Parador but have to say that the menu was disappointing as was the food. The restaurant lacked any atmosphere. The lady who served us didn’t smile once and the service was perfunctory.
