The property is really amazing, with beautiful nature around, big and bright rooms. Shiva was amazing from the first minute we came. Breakfast was really huge and tasty.

They don’t have rules for loud guests. Grand Argyle Resort is small, cute place with only few rooms, so imagine… there was few families together… they were drinking, playing billiard till late night (upstairs, near to our room). Music from the early morning till late night… it looked like they are owners of the place. It was really uncomfortable, especially before and after hiking… we just wanted to relax.

We stayed at the Grand Argyle during the monsoon season and could not have been happier. The rooms are beautifully kept and designed. Each having an open balcony facing the gardens with rocking chairs to relax and take in the ambience. The staff truly care about hospitality and the food was wonderful. Both room service and the buffet every morning. I hope in the future to come back to this wonderful retreat set in the highland tea estates.

That our trip wasn't longer. Would love to see pork bacon on the breakfast buffet.

The place was immaculate, sparkling clean, very comfortable beds and soft bed linen. The manager Chandi went above and beyond to make our stay as perfect as possible. The place offers dinners, at very reasonable price, and these were actually the best dinners we've had in Sri Lanka. Not only were they very tasty but also the choice was just a bit wider and we were able to choose food that we were missing after being away from home for many weeks. The place offers an outdoor swimming pool and also a pool table free of charge. The views from the room are beautiful and garden is very well maintained. We found this place to be excellent value for money, we felt very well looked after and would recommend it to anyone planning on staying in Hatton

Set amongst the tea plantations, it is a beautiful hotel within immaculately maintained gardens. All of the staff deserve a special shout out - they couldn’t do enough for us and were so helpful and kind. The deluxe room was amazing with a nice balcony with enough seating. The room had a mini fridge which is always appreciated. Nice and powerful hot shower, everything was perfectly clean.

The WiFi was a little bit slow. Also one thing to add (although not super important) is the only alcoholic drink available is beer.

Everything! The beautiful and peaceful house is located in the midst of tea plantations. We got to wake up to fresh air and mist in the morning. We were glad to spend 3 nights in the king suite, just doing nothing. The breakfast and dinner were so delicious and generous. The staff service was excellent and treated us like royalty. We had mint tea and milk tea in the afternoons. They arranged a tuktuk to take me to the waterfalls and Nuwara Eliya attractions which were about 1 hr away. Riding through the tea plantations, mountains and waterfalls was one of the best rides in Sri Lanka. Just amazing! Highly recommend this place to stay if you are in Hatton.

Lovely place between tea hills, everything is new and tastefully done with wooden floors and interesting interior design solutions. We liked landscapes and fresh air. Pool is quite cool but it is the same everywhere in this part of the island. Helpful staff, tasty food and beautiful places to visit nearby made our time at Grand Argyle really nice.

Hatton is still not good adapted for tourism so it might be hard to find restaurants and shops. The road from the western and southern parts of Sri is quite long: it took us about 5,5 hours to get from Kosgoda and then to Ahangama

Great peaceful location. Only a handful of rooms so felt like it was our place. Staff were 11 out of 10. Looked after us so much. Amazing eve meals and breakfast (Sri Lankan all the way!)

Wifi absolutely diabolical! Non existent in rooms. Come on guys this is 2025, no excuse for poor wifi. Some of us were working remotely and it was a nightmare Need some sun loungers on the lawn. Nowhere to lie out. Bit soulless at night, maybe some background music on in reception lounge.

Beautiful property with large, amazing rooms and peaceful surroundings. The front garden, including the pool, is spacious, though the pool water can be quite cold—ideal for those who prefer cooler temperatures. The rooms are well-furnished, especially the Deluxe King Suite, which is exceptional. The jacuzzi could use an update, but everything else is great. Wi-Fi struggles in the rooms but works fine in common areas. The views of the garden from the rooms are stunning. Nearby tea plantations offer a unique experience, with friendly locals ready to show the tea-picking process. Both breakfast and dinner are delicious and plentiful. The staff is friendly and tries hard, though sometimes service can slow down, likely due to a lack of professional training. They accommodated our request for a late checkout after hiking Adams Peak, and even offered a late breakfast. The area's beauty is truly worth the visit. Lovely and tranquil place surrounded high up by tea plantations! It's was the most pretty and comfortable room we had on our journey in Sri Lanka - everything felt new yet home-like and very clean. Mahesh was very kind and provided unbelievably great service and was there for us immediately if we needed anything. The dinner was very tasty! This place feels more like a mix of hotel and B&B - you get treated with great care.

Everything was great.

The hotel is situated in the heart of the tea fields and offers a wonderful panoramic view of the vast mountains and Adam’s Peak. The rooms are spotlessly clean, with great attention to detail. The staff were extremely friendly and exceptionally accommodating, going out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The food and service are outstanding. Highly recommend, Five stars.
