We attended a wedding at the manor and decided to extended our stay to relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside. There's a gorgeous lake and you can go for a refreshing plunge (but the area has lots of waterlilies so can't do proper swimming) and hire a kayak. We also walked around the lake - it was great but would recommend borrowing the cycles from the manor as the 15-20km is more of a leisurely bike ride distance. Surrounded by idyllic countryside: flower fields where you can pick your own for a small donation, grain fields, cows and horses, old-fashioned barns, summerhouses, woods with blueberries and cowberries, lakes, etc. Comfy bed, clean new facilities, great breakfast. The main manor house is gorgeous.

We took the bus to Gnesta to catch our train to Stockholm. Unfortunately, we found out after waiting for it for 20 mins that we need to pre-book it 24+ h before as it was outside school term time. We mentioned our plan to take the bus to the receptionist the day before and it would have been great if they'd asked if we've booked it as it's not a common thing to know. But this is minor - we hitchhiked and made it to the train in time. Most people drive there, but it's just something to be aware of when guests are saying they're taking the bus.

Great customer service, lovely dinner and breakfast. We had a very peaceful sleep in a beautiful setting. The spa was lovely. The details of the little amenities in the room and the spa area was very thoughtful.

There was an issue with the booking, but was swiftly resolved with utmost politeness.

I would have loved to have more information about the area and the facility. I did read the historical information in the room, but I would have been interested in more.

The service was very friendly and timely. The ambience was pleasant and pieceful. Worth a visit on its own. The location is excellent, less than an hour from Stockholm. The food was as expected. Armagnac offering is noteworthy.

Minor thing: The lake did not invite to swim, due to lily pads and low visibility, but that´s how it gets in the summer time. This was solved by the indoors swimming pool and outdoors hut tub that served our family very well for recreation.

The location is beautiful. We had a fun evening in the stables with a music Quiz. Great breakfast. Nice staff.

They ran out of food in the stables so limited when we arrived at around 7 pm. Not very comfortable beds and bedding. Certain areas fairly run-down.

Lovely building and location, grounds. Very nice dinner and wine pairing. Waffle iron for breakfast a big winner!

Bit warm in the first floor room even in 20c summer weather. Open window at night helped a lot but leaves you at mercy of mosquitoes…..maybe add nets? Maybe time to lose the covid distance stickers from the floors?

Wonderful property. Absolutely lovely old castle with comfortable manor house. We felt like royalty given the full access to the property. Beautiful pool, outstanding views, and wonderful staff. Breakfast was plentiful, delicious, and varied. Rate as five stars!!!

The only negative was the hot tub is not "fired" up during weekday stays.

Very comfortable and nice staff. Good food!!

Only complaint was no shampoo and conditioner in the shower.

A very beautiful and serene location, we could easily have spent a week here. There are many different activities available like canoeing, badminton, tennis etc. The Castle is beautiful and the surroundings as well.

The only negative was the limited and expensive dinner menu, and the staff could have been more accommodating/service minded
